God, I know!! I think it hits home more for us due to the single mom aspect, but I think everyone would be moved by this one. I cried so hard for him, too, when he realizes all that he's missed. It was just crushing!!

Yup which goes to prove that great bookd don't necessarily have to be expensive. I've bought so many great books for under $5 and so many free ones or .99 ones have turned out to be fantastic reads.

A stand alone book Annie by the same author of TTR. I bought them both at the same time because they both seemed like they'd be really good reads. They're 2 separate stand alones.

True; it's too bad it's like that too, because there are some really disappointing ones that get published and cost $12+, then these other authors sell gems and just get a buck or two for each sale. Shouldn't be that way, but I'm certainly not complaining about free or cheap amazing books! ;-)

Yup me neither free and cheap is best for us of course but it pisses me off to no end that the gap is so unfair and huge. Especially with ebook versions where there's no justification for a price tag upwards of $10 with many of them turning out to be literary duds! Because let me tell you that there are some really mediocre or down right terrible books out there charging ridiculous prices!

Yeah, I agree, the ebook price gauging is getting out of hand. They're also taking advantage of the fact that readers want the highly-anticipated ones as soon as they can get their hands on them. I had 2 or 3 recently that were all more than $8 ebooks and were total disappointments. One was so bad I was tempted to say something to amazon, I honestly think it was a mistake! lol
