It is such a cute story. I am glad this book was chosen for a July read. I normally don't read about mermaids, but I think this book has changed my mind. :)

It really is. I like the Galen character, and honestly the other main characters are pretty funny. I am hoping to finish it today!

Yeah, I'm not usually into the mermaid stories either, but this one really surprised me! Love the characters, and the plot kept me hooked. Really excited for the sequel already! LOL

@Elle- Yeah, I saw the high rating and didn't pay attention to how MANY there were. It's high b/c only 3 people rated it (should have caught that red flag). It reads like some melodramatic teenager wrote it, I was doing the virtual eye roll on nearly every page.

Wow, three disappointing books in a row. I'm not forcing myself through the rest of Broken Silence by Laura Noelle , there are just too many good books I could be reading in it's place. Starting Meeting Destiny (Destiny, #1) by Nancy Straight and crossing my fingers it breaks my '3 strikes' book run!

I hate it when that happens, when you read like 3 bad books in a row. So disappointing. Happened to me just last week. But luckily I broke the streak with Slumber (The Fade, #1) by Samantha Young and The Vincent Boys (The Vincent Boys, #1) by Abbi Glines .

Its a definitely a good one. The only complaint I can imagine someone having about it is that the girl resists the guy really strongly even though she has feelings for him. I know some ppl hate that. Totally understandable. But it has a good ending so I dont mind when it is resolved by the end of the first book. I imagine you would enjoy it.

Oh, good, I'll have to bump it up the list. I don't mind the push-and-pull relationships, as long as it doesn't turn into a triangle and get all 'push away the hero' on me. =)

I'm usually not a mermaid fan, but this one actually turned me into one (started Lies Beneath tonight). The characters are all lovable and the plot has just enough to keep you hooked. I'm in Tina's boat, dying for the sequel!!

I really liked Dark Kiss, though others have said they thought it was nothing original. It was different enough to satisfy my interests! =) Hope you like it!

message 9983: by Alena (new)

Alena Mcconaha (AlenaRae) Currently reading Jesus the Christ by James E. Talmage , Eat to Live The Revolutionary Formula for Fast and Sustained Weight Loss by Joel Fuhrman , and The Eye of the World (Wheel of Time, #1) by Robert Jordan . Reading just one book at a time is my usual but I'm never not reading a novel so if there's a self-help or education book I'm reading you can bet I'm also reading a novel. Fantasy/Sci-fi are my first choices, but I like a lot of genres. BTY, Starcrossed sounds good, what's the content like? I'm not into profanity or sexual content; for me cleaner is better.
