Christine Fonseca (christine_fonseca) | 240 comments Just finished The Immortal Rules (Blood of Eden, #1) by Julie Kagawa - LOVED it. Switched to a light read with Kill Alex Cross (Alex Cross, #18) by James Patterson while I finish drafting a couple of books. I can't read a lot of YA while I write YA - but I have to have something to lose myself in when I get stressed over the writing. If that makes sense

Oh, definitely don't let the negative comments sway you, this truly is a beautiful story!! Not sure where you saw the post, but there are some people on these sites that are attacking Jamie through her work and it's really a shame b/c she is very talented. I don't know what the deal is, but she's been slammed by these same people on multiple sites, they even go around marking her positive reviews as "not helpful" on amazon. Clearly these people have way too much time on their hands (and now I'm rambling...), but definitely read this without preconceived notions b/c it's a favorite for a LOT of us on here!!

Such a Rush by Jennifer Echols
It was awesome! Read the whole thing last night. And that's coming from someone that usually doesn't like contemporary. I haven't read anything else by this author before either. Heard she was good so I will have to try more of her books. I was drawn to the story because I thought it was cool that she was a pilot but it was about so much more. She lives in a trailer behind an airport and starting working there then saved forever to afford flying lessons. The teacher continued to give her flying lessons for 3 1/2 years and then he died right after his eldest son died. He was a like a dad to her and his sons were mean to her and she loved the from afar. Then his twin sons decided to take over his flying business and want her to pilot for them and the one son even blackmails her into doing it and going out with his brother. They had a ton of issues that were also brought up. Eventually we know why he did it and it all works out. It's not really a love triangle thank goodness because I hate those.

I really enjoyed it but with books it is a hit and miss with anyone it's just what you get from it that counts...I try not to read into what others think (try being the operative word LOL) so I normally don't let others sway me cause there has been plenty of times that I've loved a book and others haven't :)

Mello ❣ Illium ✮Harry✮ ☀Myrnin☀ Torin Ichimaru | 257 comments @Erin I am keeping an open mind. I decided to give it a try because it was the favorite of so many people in this group. I am currently feeling rather frustrated with Abby, though.
