Alot of you wrote to me about The Death Cure so I have to spread the good news. I was just contacted - IT's NOT Over. In August of 2012 they are going to release a prequel to the Maze Runner called The Kill Order.

I was going to buy it too, but I ended up resisting, I really need to do some Christmas shopping. I'm currently reading Forever and I'm already halfway to the ending. I'm quite disappointed because i'm expecting too much from the series but as i finish each book i'm not that satisfied.
I do still hope that even though i'm near finishing it there will still be a lot of good things that'll happen.

For YA...I am currently listening to A Great and Terrible Beauty. I'd attempted to sit down and read the book twice but hadn't been able to get beyond the first 50 pages or so. I borrowed the audio version from the library and am just starting disc 8 (or possibly 9) of 10 (or 11). Plus, I picked up the next audio (Rebel Angels) to start during our holiday travels this weekend.
Very soon I will be starting The Annotated Peter Pan (The Centennial Edition). I need to finish it by December 11 for another book club, so we'll see how that cruises along. I guess it's probably more "children's" classification than "YA," but thought it still appropriate to mention here. :o)

Heinzypop - To be honest, if I wasn't doing it in audio this time and "captive in my vehicle," I likely wouldn't have made it this far. There are pieces of the story I'm really enjoying (now that I've gotten far enough into it for the key characters to form and for interesting events to occur), but I don't find I'm extending my travels or staying in my car even after I arrive at my destination to squeeze out a few more minutes of the story. I think it's just too slow of a plot for my taste.I picked up the audio of the second book in the series hoping the first will end at a place leaving me wanting to know more about the characters and where they're headed. Plus, I need something to listen to during our eight hour (total) road trip this weekend. :o)
I've heard such positive reviews about the series and people who really love it, so I feel like I "should" give it the benefit of the doubt. We'll see what happens.

Krista "Nayana" - I have to admit it took me a little while to get into A Great and Terrible Beauty. Towards the last half I started to really like it though. I'm not very far into Rebel Angels yet though but I can't wait to find out what happens now. So hopefully I get some time to read later!
