Sally, weak sauce with the cupcakes, girl. But you're my role model when it comes to changing the subject. From guns to cupcakes in one smooth move.
As much as I detest militant vegan jackasses, there's something to be said for their tenacious and never-ending quest to make rubbery substances taste vaguely of meat.
Clark, I must admit I appreciate the vegan cook's ability to make vegetables taste delicious. I'll pass on the fake meat items.

It probably needs to be tended to.

Random thought while paging through the National Enquirer while standing in the express line at Kroger on Saturday:
It's not Rumer Willis's fault she looks like a potato.

no, i have no suggestions other than to suggest she gets profession help or talks to someone live right away
Whippets--skinny, nervous, cute dogs like mini-Greyhounds.Whip-Its--nitrous oxide cartridges used to make homemade whipped-cream-in-a-can.
Kyle, you can't really help, other than to tell her to call for help, whether it's a counselor or a suicide hotline. These kinds of situations suck, but there really isn't anything else but to wait and hope.
Catherine, the only whippet I know is adorable and extremely well-cared-for, not to say spoiled.Kyle, best wishes. I know it's hard.

I LOVE this. Right on!
I am surprised no one has mentioned Religion. Religion is controversialI think all organized Religion can kill spirituality and make people ignorant, judgmental jackasses.
Bullying wasn't any less pervasive or any less horrible just because it was face-to-face, Catherine and Kyle.

Yeah, but we didn't settle things with hand sanitizer, attorneys, and restraining orders but rather fists and elbows.
One of my friend's sons got into a fight in high school last fall and he and his wife had to take a parenting class, all because their kid stuck up for himself. He should've received a medal, not a suspension.
It's been a while since I've said this Cynthia but has it ever been more appropriate: Kill me now...

Clark you say that every day! We will all get through this stuff, depite our children.
I don't think cyber bullying is worse than real world bullying. Rather, online bullying extends and prolongs the reach of RL bullying, making it more difficult for kids to escape to a safe environment. They're too connected, and too reliant on that connectivity. It seems that a lot of parents are too busy or just don't care enough to encourage their kids to find REAL connections and put their devices away for a while.
Real world bullying > cyber bullyingThey both suck and shouldn't happen but you can keep kids from a computer. They have to go to school and interact with people face to face.
It's all a matter of perspective. I remember bullying incidents with vivid clarity, things that happened to me (and sadly, by me) 40 years ago.
Cynthia wrote: "It's all a matter of perspective. I remember bullying incidents with vivid clarity, things that happened to me (and sadly, by me) 40 years ago."Same here, Cynthia, though they were a little more recent. I especially remember the "frenemies" of middle school. *shudder*
Cyber bullying has the ability to reach a far wider audience in a much quicker time period. They both have their horrors associated with them, but do not discount the fact that cyber bullying may take place even if you shut your computer off.
Jim wrote: "Cyber bullying has the ability to reach a far wider audience in a much quicker time period. It definitely keeps the unpleasant rumor mill going at top speed, which the poor kids then have to face at school the next day.
How do you fight a cyber bully? If you protest, you give credence to his claim; if you don't protest, you're seen as weak or guilty. I'd like to know how you fight a cyber bully and win. And this is what kids face every day at school. It's unrealistic to think that turning off the computer will protect a child from cyber bullying. All that does is put the child at a disadvantage. He walks into school not knowing what's being said about him. Better to know than not know, I believe.
It's easier if someone says it to your face. At least you have a chance to fight back. I think kids these days have it much tougher than we did.
You are not an expert because Fox News (fair and balanced) tells you what to think. And stop yelling at me; it doesn't help me hear you.
I believe morons whose primary "news" source is Faux Noise have been trying to convince Cheri their arguments have merit, frequently raising their voices to do so.
