Ship Breaker was showing the same price on Kobo but it might have only been a daily deal. It's also up on itunes for those in Canada.
I'm pretty sure this is an adult book but the protag is 16. I'm seeing it described as coming-of-age, as well as literary fiction, so who knows...

Repeat of what I said before but I don't usually put up indie/small pub books (since there's so many new ones constantly coming out) unless they're a known author or there are at least several reviews to browse. Here's a few that had at least a page of reviews.

Wendy F wrote: "Ashfall? me too. I've heard it's good."It is one of my favorite reads in 2011. Ashen Winter isn't due to be released until October, so it is up way early!

The first chapter is hard to connect with, but after that I really really liked it. I know, Regina! You mentioning was the reason I got it from Netgalley but so far I haven't found the time to read it. Hopefully in the next few weeks.
Regina wrote: "Do you like survivalist/disaster based/apocalyptic books?"Well, I'm sold. Lol
I have seen the book around so I do want to read it sometime =)

I really liked that book but I listened to the audio. I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series.
So I found out about this today:For the Kobo Store, there are coupon codes out right now for 90% off: welcome90ca & welcome90us. Both codes should work, so you can use each one once, but they have to be on books from publishers that are not part of that agency model (so not the big 6. or 5. or whoever is part of the agency model thing). You can also use welcome75ca & welcome75us for 75% off. One time use only, for each coupon code.
So I have a few Galley Grab links, if anybody who uses Galley Grab hasn't already come across these:
(expires soon - like 8 days)http://www.galleygrab.com/?asset_url=...

I don't know when they're going to start sending out the newsletters again, or if they will. But sometimes authors will post a link. I haven't been keeping up with it until I just got back from all the Stuff. So if anyone knows of some that I missed, let me know!
Thanks Jenny! I wasn't sure what was going on with GG since they quit sending out newsletters. They have the site where you can read the books online but I'm not big on reading stuff online if I can help it. I'd rather have a copy for my reader.

I used those codes yesterday and bought myself a bunch of books. The codes can only be used once but then they have other discounts with 75% and 50% off.

Yeah, I noticed that I haven't been getting the newsletter... Thanks so much for these links! I've been dying to read
S&S must have kicked me off their list cause I couldn't get that book. Or even log in for that matter =(
I found a couple more GG links:

Thanks again Jenny! I'll be off to check those out in a minute. You are some other word besides awesome, since I seem to use that one too much. Perhaps fabulous?
No she is TERRIBLE until she has uncovered DoSaB. Her copy is not only word porn wonderful it is SIGNED WORD PORN WONDERFUL.
I have seen the WORD PORN....it indeed is WONDERFUL.And never mind on getting kicked outta GG. I tried again, and grabbed the Forsaken book =)

Jenny, do you know if there's a Galley Grab link for Wrecked? Since it's being featured as a pulse it title, I was curious to see if they had a link for a direct download. I have no clue where you're finding the links now. I don't know if I'd even want to read it but I am curious to see if pulse it and GG are overlapping.
Most of the time, the books on Pulse-It are books that were also available from Galley Grab. But since they stopped sending out the newsletters, it's not always possible to find a link to it. If they even made one available to the public.I come across them randomly. Sometimes an author or publicist will share a link for a book. Occasionally, S&S will put an ad banner that links to a book's galley grab in the Shelf Awareness Pro newsletters. But I find most of them on twitter.

I'm so sorry. I saw this before bed last night but then it was taken down, so I thought we had just missed the deal and now it's showing again but the day is coming to a close.Hopefully someone will have time to grab it if they want before the day is over.
