Diane | 1234 comments OK Anna I was on the fence ( I have so much waiting for me to read) but you pushed me over with mind****! And I really can't complain about $1.99 either. I am a sucker for that "buy with 1 click" button.

Jenny (narcisse) | 1946 comments Oh nice.

And for the Neil Gaiman ones, the Audible freebie is actually the Cold Colors short story from Smoke and Mirrors. The Kindle one is the How to Talk to Girls at Parites, from Fragile Things.

Jenny, I'm sure this isn't the thread for this, lol, but can you explian the SYNC program and how it all works? TIA!

message 1165: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (narcisse) | 1946 comments Each week in the summertime, they give away two audiobooks. The idea is to match a recent young adult title with a classic that goes with it. Example: Anna Dressed in Blood and The Woman in White was one of the pairings they did last summer.

message 1166: by Becky (new)

Becky (booklovingcoffeeaddict) Very cool. Is there a group discussion afterwards? Can I put the audio books on my phone or ipod?

Becky (Indiana) wrote: "Very cool. Is there a group discussion afterwards? Can I put the audio books on my phone or ipod?"

We hadn't done that in the past but if there's a book that you do want to buddy read and discuss from that list, feel free to ask and there's a chance you might get some takers.

message 1172: by Becky (new)

Becky (booklovingcoffeeaddict) @Stacia, Thanks! I'll keep that in mind!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 5137 comments That's tempting. I wasn't sure if I was going to read her other series because I'd heard Seven Realms was better but if it's still going, maybe it has improved...

message 1192: by Hillary (new)

Hillary (eledri) | 759 comments The first wasn't terrible. Is it as good as Seven Realms? Nah, but I've not read the others yet.

message 1193: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I just grabbed the first three, because I'm sure I'll read them at some point. I won't request it though, I'm not sure how quick I'll read it.

message 1194: by Carina (new)

Carina After my break, I have decide to STAY AWAY FROM NETGALLEY.
I have even considered closing my account so that I won't be tempted, but I'm not that brave.
Will power it is then...

message 1195: by Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (last edited Jun 06, 2013 10:19PM) (new)

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) | 162 comments I thought about requesting that but ultimately decided not to because it's a Disney book and they never ever approve non-media people. Which is just as well, I guess because I have enough to read as it is. I'm a little over halfway though Demon King, and actually would like to read both series before the new book comes out, so this should give me plenty of time.

message 1196: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I make myself stay away from NetGalley, except when a book comes out taht I have to have, lmao. Like I got Mira Grant's new Parasite (Parasitology, #1) by Mira Grant , which I'm totally stoked for!

message 1197: by Merin (new)

I think Disney might be changing some of their policies because they've been approving me here and there. I got approved for the book, which means it was decided for me that I will start the series after I finish Seven Realms.

message 1199: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (narcisse) | 1946 comments They usually approve me. I don't think I'm going to request that one though because there's no way I can get to the Heir Chronicles anytime soon.
