I mainly just check the Amazon Top 100, but I also keep an eye on the eBook deal threads in other groups I'm in.

For the kindle daily deals you can use http://www.amazon.com/gp/gss/detail/9... <-- that and subscribe.Otherwise I recommend using www.inkmesh.com <-- That will show you free ebooks on Amazon, B&N, Sony, etc. etc.
If you're looking for Kindle book deals, then ereaderiq.com will show you free books in addition to price drops on kindle books, so if one goes on sale for $1.99 or whatever you will see that too.
And if you don't mind reading on a computer or your phone, there's always the Kindle app, totally free :)
I've got a Nook color so I put the Kindle app on my laptop a few months ago. I love it. It's like 2 ereaders in 1. Thanks. ;-)

Smashwords, for instance offers ten different types of download.
If you choose the PDF download, you receive a full colour version of the book on your computer.
This is very snazzy.
You save it and read it on Adobe.
I have some of these on my little notebook and they make fab reading.
Hope you come right.

Crap, I just went over and realized that it's Harper Collins who has Hallowed. :( They're pretty much the only publisher who hates me/doesn't like to approve my requests.
They declined me. I was like WTF?! I've never been declined by HarperCollins before. So I updated my personal bio and re-requested. They approved me the second time. They were being kinda hardcore today or something. But in the end I snagged all 3 of these. So excited!

They're one of the only publishers who have given me a lot of grief. I don't like to blog, and they don't care if you get people to follow your reviews here. Most of the other publishers will take your GR account into consideration if you have a decent amount of followers.
I do have a blog, so I rarely get declined for stuff unless the publisher is only doling out a limited number of approvals or some weird crap like that. Several publishers have me on auto-approve. I don't know why HC gave me crap today. Usually only Penguin are hardasses.
It's strange because HC is the only one who denies me flat out. I may need to redo my profile. There are a couple of other publishers who approve me for some and reject me for others, so I think they have different people who handle individual requests and it varies from person to person. Even with that, if I request again, I get approved.Okay, so my November schedule is going to be all messed up. I just grabbed a copy of
and might have to fit that in.
I need to get a copy of that too. =/ And I forgot that I still want to read Son of Neptune and The Death Cure.Have you looked at what their approval requirements are and what info they want you to have in your bio?
is up on NetGalley right now!!! The US release isn't until March, so grab it while you can.http://www.netgalley.com/PopupHandler...
is available on Amazon for $1.99 (US). It's $3.99 on Smashwords and BN. I know a few of you here have read and loved it, thought I'd share :)

I've been slacking on checking NG lately. Jenny, are you finding all of these under the new section, under the YA section, or are you going straight to publisher? Usually I just check the new section these days, but it seems like I miss out some books here and there.Kayla, if you're having trouble, try adding more info to your profile. If you don't blog, you can can try putting your GR profile page as a link where the blog info is supposed to go. Some publishers will take the GR info and others won't.

The recently added list has been failing me lately, so I've started checking the publishers that have me on auto-approve regularly and then also the YA and SF/F lists.
Stacia I haven't, but I was approved. Several of my GR friends really loved it and I love the story concept of it. I guess it is written in a sort of verse, but it flows like a story. I am going to read it early next week.

Thanks Hillary. :)Stealing this info from Regina. The price of Angelfall has dropped from 2.99 down to 99 cents. If it's as good as she and a few others are saying, that looks like a great deal.
Nook : http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/angel...
Kindle : http://www.amazon.com/Angelfall-Penry...
is $0.99 for the month of December. I haven't read it, but it has pretty good reviews and it's a mythology retelling that I've been wanting to pick up, about Psyche & Cupid.Kindle: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006...
Nook: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/desti...
At least you read most of what you request. I try to read one here and there, but fail most of the time. At least I do log my reviews over there when I remember. So yeah...I said it in the currently reading topic, but this one's also up for request :

Kris, I've noticed that 3 out of the 4 comments you've made in the group have all mentioned this particular book Enchantment, and I also notice on your profile that you're into marketing new and indie authors.
If this is a promotion for a friend or for your business, I'm going to have to ask that you move it to the promotions folder. This topic is for member-to-member sharing and not for the purpose of financial gain or author recognition.
If we don't hear anything back within the next day or two, the mods will probably choose to delete the post.
If this is not the case, please drop a quick note here that will clear things up for us. Thanks. :)
