His sarcasm has always been a draw for me. I watch his show every so often.

I opened the book just to skim the first few pages and saw his sarcasm pop out right away (I do not condone nor agree with his statements but he does make me grin):

My naked contempt for vegetarians, sauce-on-siders, the 'lactose intolerant' and the cooking of the Ewok-like Emeril Lagasse is not going to get me my own show on the Food Network. I don't think I'll be getting a back rub from that hunky Bobby Flay.

Anyway, back to the Kindle 25 cent-a-palooza. In case you don't have a Kindle, you can get the same deals on Google play for epub and pdf. I haven't checked out Google play yet so I don't know how it works, but Amazon has been price matching every deal as soon as Google puts it up.

I suppose I could get email notifications for stuff but most of the sites I visit have a mix of big publishers and small pub/indie stuff, so if I signed up for alerts I'd be bombarded with all of the constant new indie releases (some days there's upward of 50 in YA alone).

I find it easier to just skim a few sites and see what people are buzzing about. I found most of the quarter deals on mobileread.com.

I'd been looking for a genie book and found this one for free. No clue if it's any good though. It could suck for all I know, but I had to jump at downloading a free genie (djinn) book. The two books I've read by this author I was divided on. One was "eh, nothing special" and the other was pretty decent.
