pride reduction down to $2.51 @ Amazon - http://www.amazon.com/A-Royal-Mess-eb...
$2.99 @ B&N - http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/a-roy...
$2.99 @ Sony - http://ebookstore.sony.com/ebook/tyne...
NetGalley sent me an email earlier today. I don't know if the rest of you got it, but it was a (good for 48 hours) link to access an auto-approved copy of
.Searching for the book won't make it come up on NetGalley (at least not for me), but using the link in the email works. Here's the link in case you guys didn't get the email: http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?et=11092947...
You need to be a member of NetGalley for it to work.
I get so irritated with doing searches on netgalley. What does work for me is finding out the publisher and going to the publisher's section. I wonder if they purposely have a bad search function.

I have done title searches though -- and get nothing. But then when I search for a very isolated word, I get some hits and can find the book I am looking for. Just my experience that their search function is limited. But this seems like a great deal! Too bad I have sworn off on getting any more netgalley books!
Their search does suck pretty bad. Sometimes a book will show up for me in the recent list, but not in its genre list, or vice versa. And sometimes when I search, it starts me off on page 3 of the results instead of page 1, which makes me miss things. It needs some fixing, that is for sure.I swore off of more NG books too, but I couldn't resist this one.
Thanks Jenny. I had gotten the email in the morning and it didn't even cross my mind to mention it here.
This is the deal of the day, so the price will go up again tomorrow.$2.99 @ B&N - http://www.barnesandnoble.com/u/ebook...
Kindle is not showing a price match yet, but I'm guessing there's a chance they will match it. I've noticed that Amazon usually jumps on it a few hours later.

And speaking of daily deals, here's the one from Amazon (also one day only) :
$0.99 @ Amazon - http://www.amazon.com/Lament-Faerie-D...
I got Grave Mercy too. I just can't stop requesting books. But I am making myself read them in March.
I just need to block the site from my web browser, bc swearing off doesn't seem to work. :) Glad it isn't only me do the searches wrong!

I was so excited to get the email on this one since it was a pre-approved book! I ALWAYS get denied for everything on Netgalley because I don't have a blog. So I immediately download it and start it and get to page 8 (half of a map) and then it freezes and a file error comes up and I have to force close it! Argh! Tried it like five times, same thing. Must be a problem with the file. So bummed... Does anyone know if I delete the file off Digital Editions, will Netgalley let me go back in and re-download it, or am I SOL?
I just looked at NetGalley's FAQ and it looks like you can download the file as many times as you want to, until the publisher archives the title.

Sigh I downloaded darkest mercy, but it doesn't get very far. I'm assuming since my ereader isn't internet capable I can't read it on that. *sigh*

Do you mean it doesn't get very far when you have it open in Adobe Digital Editions? Or do you have it being sent direct to your Kindle? If you want to transfer the book to your device manually, you can open the book in ADE while your reader is plugged into your computer. Then you drag the book icon from the library page inside of ADE onto the Kindle, Nook, etc. icon on the menu inside of ADE (the menu bar is on the left hand side of your library page). Then the book will show up on your reader - no internet on the reader required.
FREE @ Amazon - http://www.amazon.com/Glimpse-Zellie-...
It's showing $2.99 @ B&N and even higher at Diesel.
These are free for today only (I think). Kindle only, per his website. Looks like they're shorts, but progressively get longer, like PsyCop. Rave reviews.

Just in time for the group read. Amazon UK deal of the day :

3.99
Click on the thumbnail to go to the summary page. Underneath the summary, there's a green download button to click on which will take you to a page where you can download a pdf of this book.
I've wondered about this one for a while, and grabbed it as soon as I saw it was free till the 5th:

Full price ($4.99) at Barnes and Noble
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/reaso...
Blood Feud $1.00 E-Book Salehttp://www.smashwords.com/books/view/...
That's the direct link to the book's sale page. The buyer has to sign up with Smashwords to get the 74% discount, and Smashwords uses Paypal for transactions (but if the buyer has a credit card, they don't need a Paypal account since Paypal will charge the card).
You can also point her to the Pandora website (link in the signature), where she and her reading group can download the PDF introductory comic in the sidebar. That has two sample chapters from Blood Feud in it.
Looks indie but I figured I'd add it, since at the very least there are a bunch of reviews up on GR to pick over.

I'm not sure what's going on with these books but Amazon seems to be price matching something that Google Play is doing, so I have no idea how long the offers are lasting for. Here's another 25 cent book. Fight Club (in case you haven't seen the movie, this is an adult book)!
$0.25 @ Amazon - http://www.amazon.com/Fight-Club-A-No...
Also, Netgalley just sent out an email today. They're going to be featuring the entire Artemis Fowl series on Netgalley, 2 books per month, until the release of the newest book. Right now they're showing the books as "read now," so I'm assuming they're auto approve for everyone. If you'd wanted to try out the series, this is a good time, since all of the books will be featured.
I have no idea. I just do the daily browse of a few websites and blogs and see what people have posted. I have no idea where these links were found at.

Didn't find any other US deals but it looks like Amazon UK might be doing some down and dirty price matching as well.
@ Amazon UK - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Girl-Dragon-T...
That one's the Kindle deal of the day, so if you're going to get it, grab it now before the price goes up.Not sure if we have anyone here who watches Bourdain's show but I figured I'd put it up anyway.
$0.25 @ Amazon - http://www.amazon.com/Kitchen-Confide...
Awesome! I haven't seen Bourdain's show but love when he is a guest judge on Top Chef. For .25 I think I will snatch that one up too! :)
Not sure if this has been said already.

The lending function from both vendors is also too limited. But I have done it, but not a ton. The books I have lent out are the ones other people want to borrow - -but of course due to the limitations I can never lend them out again.
