If you filter to show which books are free, yes. It will show only books that are free.

I did download it and it seems like it'll be pretty good. Don't know if I'll get to it right away though. I'll post again when I do and let you know how it is ;-)

Sigh, but I have first editions. It only says that Alaska and TFiOS are signed, but the Katherines and Paper Towns are the paperback covers on hardcover books so this might be the only way to get those, which would totally be a good excuse to double up. Yeah, I've convinced myself to preorder.

That site declines people a lot! What is up with that? Maybe if you put your reason for requesting is that you'll DIE if you don't get approved for it they'll not want your death on their consciences and approve it. I might start doing that for Razorbill, who declines me consistently over there, even though I'm always approved for Penguin books on NG and they email me wanting to put me on their mailing lists. IT IS SO ANNOYING. They're the only ones who have declined me and they've done it for every book "oops we ran out". Like a month after my request and the book is still there in the lists. Lying liars. It's their default decline I think. "Sorry, we've reached our approval limit!" Razorbill just needs to come out and tell me that I'm not good enough for them.

I have the same thing happen here and there, where I get approved but then am not allowed to download the book.
That happened to me twice but it was because the approvals didn't come until after the galleys had expired (I assume, because it was after the release dates).

Part of the reason I loved this book so much was because it's set in the neighborhood I live in. :P
I've already told you that it is illegal. If you keep posting asking for illegal files then you're likely to get your goodreads account deleted and get someone else in trouble in the process. If you can't purchase that book in your country then it is because of distribution rights which make it impossible to sell the book in your country at this time. If you're going to seek out an illegal option then you should do that on your own rather than attempting to publicly involve others. Have you tried a library? Or The Book Depository?

These are showing on Netgalley as read now for me, so I'm guessing they're auto approve unless that's how the publishers are doing people who already have approval now. Both are number 2 in a series.

I've read Shatter Me when the hardback first released. I really enjoyed it. For 3.99 it's definitely worth a try. =)
Nice to know. I'm scared to read that one. It seems like people are either head over heels for the book or hate the book. The style of writing made me nervous because I'd heard it was very flowery. Did you notice that at all?
I'm the same, Stasia. I've had the ebook for a while but Im too afraid to try it after what Ive heard...
I like beautiful language when it has a purpose. Daughter of Smoke and Bone is an example of a book where the style of writing worked for me. But I think it's on the author and subject matter...I can't handle excess descriptions of how beautiful a boy is over and over.Guess I should take a peek one of these days just to satisfy my curiosity.
I didn't like the writing style at all, but it didn't keep me from enjoying the story.

I actually had an ARC of it and initially thought the strike-outs were part of the proofing. Then, I realized the back summary had them too and it was just another author trying to be unique.

One of the better sites is ereaderiq.com because it lets you filter by freebies, genre, etc. I usually check childrens books first because a lot of YA gets filed there. Then, I'll clear the filter and check genres such as fantasy, sci fi, romance, etc. These are Kindle books, so if you can't use those, you can always get their list then check other booksellers to see if they're offering those books for free.
I rarely post all of those books here because it would be a non stop stream of indies and new releases and a pain to constantly list them all, so I prefer to post mainly books which are either from a known author, have an unusual subject, or at the very least have enough reviews on GR for people to check out (the first twenty or so are usually bias reviews coming from friends and family, so its hard to tell from those if a book is actually worth the read).
