Don't get me wrong, I adore her! But hopefully that aspect of her does grow on me haha, didn't affect how I love the book though thankfully =D Hoping to get a day off of work soon so I can go buy the rest of the series. I picked up the first book of Bloodlines too, excited to see how that goes

Rose matures as the series goes on. She's one of my favorite MCs :) I enjoyed Bloodlines more than I thought I would! Didn't think I'd like Sydney but she wasn't so bad.

Now I really have to finish the series! I really love Dimitri, and have been trying so hard to not spoil anything about the two of them, hard because this site gets so addicting lol

DONT LET ANYTHING GET SPOILED!!! Pretty much every book has a cliffhanger so it won't be as fun if you already see it coming :P

Me, too, Wendy! Richelle posted a line from the book on her Facebook page that I'm dying to share. What the heck, I'll share it and just spoiler tag it. ENJOY! (view spoiler)

I love VA and Bloodlines... I'm startin on the 3rd one and I don't usually like spoilers so I haven't looked at the previous ones but I have to know does ANYTHING happen between Angeline and Trey??? Lol...

I'm about 7% in(just finished chapter 2) and Adrian has already said some of the awesomessssst quotes!

I'm so mad I was going to bring my copy to work to read on my downtime today and I forgot! Ill have to start tonight!

i'm about 20% and will keep reading tonight after work.I love how easily Richelle Mead enraptures me with her writing!
I'm at 23% (read through chapter 5 so far). Adrian is awesome. Sydney's reaction to his (view spoiler) cracked me up: (view spoiler) lol

Yes, the whole things was hilarious in the sweetest kind of way =DBut I loved his explanation of things more than her reaction.
(view spoiler)
I am now at 53% ladies. Chapter 14. And I gotz more quotes, but I've also gotz.a heavy case of the sleepiness. So I'll talk to you tomorrow ;)

I'm at 41% (Chapter 11), and pretty much everything Adrian says or does makes me laugh my ass off. Jet Steele.

I'm only at chapter 10 haha. I love Adrian so much though. I would not love this series as much if it wasnt for him :P

Oooo Jenny, we're close! But I gotta say.... it's not been all love for me ladies.
I love Adrian and his banter....but...(view spoiler)
So those are some of my thoughts. What do ya think Jenny? Katy, I'm not sure if you should wait to read that spoiler. It's just some complaints and a theory, so nothing harmful I think.
Right there with ya, Carina. I have been thinking all of those exact things. I am liking the book, though. But it's like there's 3 plotlines going all at once with Sydney and it's making me feel cluttered. Do we really need two serious conflicts alongside the romantic one? I kinda wish one of them had been passed off more onto Eddie or something. Then Sydney could help out when she could without focusing on EVERYTHINGALLATONCE. And I think (view spoiler)

Ahh I want to click the spoilers lol!! I've heard people say they didn't have as much love for this book. So far I'm liking it.

      I just finished ladies....Um, wow.
I need to come back tomorrow to comment.
Don't know how many stars I'll rate it, but I will be for sure anxious to read the next book this November!
Haha I finished too. I liked it, despite some of the things that annoyed me a bit. And with the way this one ended I think the next book is going to be super frustrating, but hopefully in a good way.

I totally agree with you comment Jenny. Completely. It didn't take you too long to catch up Katy :)
Where are you at? How are you liking it?
Nothing's really happening in the part I'm at- Sydney just agreed to go to St Louis. Hoping the action picks up soon but I'm still liking it :)

Oh ok, I think I know where you are. Well I did really like this book too, but it wasn't as awesome as I'd hoped. Nothing wrong with that I guess :)
I finished (finally!).I'm not loving this series as much as I did VA. But I am enjoying it. I love Adrian and Sydney. I just feel like this series is kind of....uneventful? compared to VA. Book 3 of VA had me OMGing.
Though I heard book 4 is supposed to be pretty crazy. I read that Fiery Heart is supposed to have a Shadow Kissed type ending.
I think that by a shadow kissed ending they mean it will be crazy, but I don't I think the same thing will happen.I thought the same thing Katie. since with her other series book 3 have been one of the most exciting, I was hoping the same thing would happen in this series. But it was the other way around :( I still like it though.
I do agree that VA had a more epic feel than Bloodlines so far. I can see how things might start becoming bigger-picture now for Sydney, though. I suppose it's definitely been opened up to have something drastic happen.

It does seem that the series is setting up for something big to go down. At least I sure do hope it is. Mead has already set the bar high for herself haha! I'm waiting for (view spoiler)
So I've read two of Richelle Mead's series (

 and

) but gave up on both after about the third or fourth book because the love-triangle drama or cheating gave me the icks. Can't decide if I'm brave enough to try VA, even though I'm intrigued.

If you didn't like either of her other series, there's a good chance that VA won't work for you. Love triangles and cheating are sort of repeat offenders for her books. I don't mind it as much with her series because she writes such unique and unusual characters and worlds. But if there's something specific that's bugging you about character behaviors, chances are, you'll notice it with her other series.Although, I tend to want to

Yes I did read the Covenant series recently and I saw in several reviews that people wanted to indite her for plagiarism of VA, which made me want to read it to see for myself. Thanks for the feedback, Stacia, that does help.
I actually enjoyed most of Mead's books that I read, the beginning ones are always addicting, but I just sort of wussed out because they were frying my emotions. Part of it may have been that I was reading them all back-to-back. I might have enjoyed them more if I'd spaced them with some less stress-inducing reads... And also if Eugenie hadn't been an idiot ;)
