Trey was the guy who didn't have a metallic tattoo and was against them, wasn't he? Or maybe not totally against them...I just know he didn't have one...?

I don't know. It's not hinting at all who he is, just that he and Sydney seem to be chummy with each other.
I was just coming in to say that, lol. I looked up this morning. Trey was the athlete at the school who was good without the tattoo, and he was always trying to get the school to do something about them. When he first met Sydney he didn't like her because he thought she got one too, but then the struck up a friendship when she said she didn't. He didn't have a major role in the first book.
I'm only JUST starting it. One chapter down, so I don't know for sure. I would assume maybe he does since Stacia asked about him. I'm so excited for it! It's hard to work and not read.

Wendy, thanks for looking it up. I vaguely remember now. Yes, he's more of an actual character in this book.

Lol, he was a bear :P No, I meant 'oh poo it sucks' there's not much hinting about who Trey is hehe.
I knew...but it was cute. :) It reminded me of a book cover that someone photoshopped the h off the end and it ended up saying Cooking With Poo.
After getting over the shock when I read the graphic novel and realized Eddie was blonde (I must have pictured him with dark hair because he's so much like Dimitri), I paid better attention to his description in Golden Lily. Here's my Eddie (yes, I know, he's on Secret Circle)

I pictured him with dark hair but was then shocked my the description of "sandy blonde hair" in GL.I'm loving Adrian so much.

(TO the pic) - the ultimate Eddie, too bad he's blonde

I guess they can't all have dark hair since Adrian and Dimitri already do but it is funny that all this time I thought he was dark haired until I saw the picture of him in Frostbite. They were passing Eddie off as Jill and Sydney's brother which makes sense now since they're all blonde but they really should have claimed Adrian as a cousin instead!
There was a passage in Golden Lily about Eddie's face having beautiful angles or something to that effect and it immediately made me think of the guy who plays Jake on Secret Circle, that's why I chose him. Plus, he's tall and lean, which Eddie is.
He would have made a nice Jace from MI too. His face is a bit more avenging angel looking than Jamie Campbell Bower's. But oh well. I'll deal with Jamie. :p
True true, all true. I can't agree more! Hmmm, I actually agree with that too, I mean Jamie campbell Bower is cute and all but until I see him as Jace, I don't know, I think he'd make a good Jace
I agree. I am not opposed to JCB but he does have a few awkward features they'll need to downplay in order to recreate Jace's angelic and larger than life appearance. It could work though. I guess we'll see...
You guys can laugh at me all you want since this is such a girly thing for me to get excited about but RM said this on her blog about the next Bloodlines book : You'll also be pleased to know that after these revisions, The Indigo Spell has had its hotness factor kicked up significantly. Hope you guys can handle it.
I'm so glad that Stacia recommended this series to me as a not-Twilight kind of vampire thing - I seriously loved it. I'll have to get on the Bloodlines bandwagon too!
I might finally start Bloodlines series before the 3rd book is released. I've been resisting really hard, but I do want to get on board soon. =)

So I found a 10 minute rendition of the blackout scene from the Golden Lily (an official release). Is it sad that I skipped ahead because wtf to 10 min of dialogue and bad acting? Oh lord, it's BAD. This completely ruins a great scene in the book.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_rrB...
Back to the main reason I posted. These are very short teaser trailers for book 3 that are only 30 to 40 seconds max.
There will be spoilers if you haven't read VA, as usual.

So I've started Bloodlines for the buddy read! I've only gotten two chapters read, but so far so good.
For anyone who wants to read it (since I mentioned it in Carina's review): this is the 'lost' first chapter of Bloodlines. It's Adrian's POV and I'm pretty sure it takes place at Court. You can read it before or after any of the books, since it doesn't really affect anything plot-wise. Originally RM was going to write Bloodlines in multiple points of view, and Adrian had the first chapter. Then she changed her mind and chose Syd instead.
I started it last night, read 3 pages and crashed, lol.I was very exausted, but I'll make up for it tonight after work.
I think I'll wait to read adrian's PoV till after the book, if it's the same.

I agree that it doesn't matter when you read it, but I think it's probably not a bad idea to wait to read Adrian's PoV until after the book because it sort of clues you in to something that you will find out later in book 1. Not that it's a big spoiler or will ruin anything, but I liked finding it out later on.
What's funny is that she scrapped the original version because it was going to be in third person and she didn't feel comfortable writing that way.But her newest book is supposedly in third person, so I'm curious to see how she does.
So I read a little more last night and I think it's pretty obvious that (view spoiler) I'm not sure how I feel about this. And I wish Sydney realized it but I don't remember how much if anything she knew about the (view spoiler) with Rose? Also is that what the spoilery thing in Adrian's chapter is? Cause I want to read that but I don't want to be spoiled!
Maybe? I can't really remember, but his chapter is basically him and Jill hanging out together at Court so there's a good chance that's what it is.I don't think Syd knows about that, since she's kept pretty distant from Rose, although (view spoiler). And at the beginning of the story, she's very much minimal/need-to-know details wrt the Moroi because they still scare her. (Her dad is scarier, lbr.)
That said I know you're all on Bloodlines now but OH MY GOD (view spoiler). Maybe I just wasn't feelin' it in the first few books since I loved Dimitri and Rose separately, but when it comes to pairings - especially central ones - I'm very much show-don't-tell. Which is why I wished some of (view spoiler) but now I'm totally into it, tbh.
Also, of course Dimitri gets a new leather duster. Of course.
Read it, you wont be spoiled. It's not anything FAB or spoilery for you. I am glad she scrapped that writing style for these books.
Holy hell! I'm 20% in, starting chapter 6 and (view spoiler)It's nice, and a tiny bit weird at the same time, to be back in this world after so many years. Nice, cause I love the world and Richelle's writing, and weird cause it's a separate story from VA, but I'm liking it so far.
Jenny, I see you're ahead of me, so I'm not gonna read those spoilers, but I am tempted ;)
I want to know the secrets! Lol I just finished chapter 4. (I fail at reading lately.) I'm glad Rose has been in it though. I miss reading about her.
I read the VA series as one of my students was hooked on it. I'd read an adult Richelle Mead and was a bit concerned! I can see the attraction of the series for teens - all that nearly sex... though why the fascination for teachers...please move on! I kept thinking that RM was good at writing the last 60 pages of each book - kind of like the foreplay was a bit dull and repetitive but the climax was fun! I'd better stop there.
I really loved the first book, just read it for the first last week. Loved loved loooved it, my only problem is how self-assertive Rose is! She's a little too sure of herself, but I guess for good reason? I can't help that it's a natural petpeeve of mine in the real world though lol. Can't wait to read book 2
