message 3602: by Laura (new)

Laura (thatlibrarianlady) I recently read Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire. I really enjoyed it, but did anyone else find some of the events completely outrageous?

Nicole (nkb992) | 35 comments Tami wrote: "Nicole, you are lucky! I had to wait for Hornet's to be released. :) Glad you are enjoying them."

That must have been really difficult! Haha I had a hard time waiting til I could get to a bookstore. I finished it earlier this week and loved it just as much as the second one. But as with all good series, now I'm sad it's over.

I also recently finished Beach Blondes: June Dreams, July's Promise, August Magic which was disappointing even for a beach read and even though it has good ratings/reviews on its goodreads page. I'm leaving the beach tomorrow but I think I'll continue with the beach theme for a little longer and pick up That Old Cape Magic, which has been sitting on my bookshelf for way too long.

A few years ago, an author was selling his books at a local craft fair and I bought them. Finally picked them up and how entertaining! Hidden Mickey and HIDDEN MICKEY 2: It All Started... - another Action-adventure Mystery Novel about Walt Disney. Reading the second one right now and ***gasp*** left it at home! I feel so out of sorts not having a book in my bag. I seldom get to do any reading during the day, but still!

They aren't meaningful classic-type novels, but they are fun. I love Disneyland and the idea that Walt Disney somehow left a whole bunch of "Treasure Hunts" for fans to find is way fun! The writing is decent and the story line moves along quickly. I have noticed some issues and figured out the clues way before the hunters but still good reads.

I finished it. I was skeptical at first, but I ended up really enjoying it. I guess you just have to go into it with the mindset of knowing it's not going to be a "serious" read. I've been curious about the movie, but then I never really heard much about it after it came out.

I agree with Kimberly, spoilers! if you edit and put < spoiler> in front of it and < /spoiler> behind it(without the spaces) it will hide it unless someone clicks on the spoiler link. :)
