LOL! I once read a book that I was loving so much that about 100 pages in, I almost went back to the beginning to start over because it was going too fast!

I tried to get into this, but I found it really boring. I ended up DNFing it."
Bumer! I've really enjoyed the Weather Warden series; too bad this series isn't up to par.

I would still give it a try. Maybe not buy it, try to get it from the library. I don't care for her Weather Warden series, but do like her Morganville Vampires. If you do try it let us know what you think of it.

I got the sample of this on my kindle and couldn't even get through that. Looks like I didn't miss much. I did lover her Weather Warden series and have read some of her YA series, so I was pretty disappointed.

So was I. I really expected to like it. I also liked her Weather Warden series, but did give up reading her YA one.

Actually, I though the first three were the best and then it starts to decline a little. I still enjoy them but not like the first three. So depending why you didn't like the first two, no it doesn't really get any better. But I'm sure others would disagree with me.

I agree with you on this sentiment.

Will be starting Succubus Blues tomorrow

but in the meantime I reading Hush, Hush

I've read some Kelly Armstrong, but it's been a while. Going to mark this one to read.
I am reading Kim Harrison's new book. Love it!
Susan Stec

Now reading

We'll see how I feel about it 700 pages from now.

I have heard really good things about that one.

At 700 plus pages, I'm hoping I enjoy it all as much as I did the first page. I'll let you know...

and now I am reading

I grabbed this book when it first came out, read it in one sitting, I enjoyed it, can't wait for the second book

I found I really liked the world the book was set in, but was so so on the rest of it. I do look forward to reading the second book. I hope my issues were just first book sydrome.

I liked that one I hope you will as well."
I hope so as well, I've heard alot of good things about this book.

The lead character/narrator has a good sense of humor, so parts of the book read quickly. But, as I know absolutely nothing about guns and weapons, the paragraph-long descriptions (I'm not kidding) of each person's weapon of choice are really starting to drag for me. Other than those parts, it's interesting and enjoyable. Someone who is more into weaponry and battle tactics might really enjoy it.

Unfortunately, imo, once the book becomes pretty much non-stop action, towards the end, it starts dragging. Not terribly so, but enough to make me wish it would get a move on already.

LOL!! Gun-porn! That's actually the perfect description.
