Finished, enjoyed and reviewed A Splendid Salmagundi today!
Now I will go back to The Girl on the Wall: One Life's Rich Tapestry which I put aside to read Salmagundi.

Also read The Scent Of Freedom

Obviously!!!"
Just wrote a review!

I finally finished Nemesis. It's certainly a slow burner. Mind you, I've been busy at work and working on one of my own books so I only read it in dribs and drabs. The trouble is, Nesbo chucks so much in that it's easy to lose track of what the hell is going on. That said, I like Harry Hole, though I know plenty who don't (including the wife) but after finishing a Nesbo I always want to reach for something lighter and easier.

Then The Unfinished Boy which was a new genre for me(Clock Punk)I really enjoyed this short story which touched my heart and imagination.
Spent an hour or so in the company of an Adele biography while listening to her 19 album on iPod.The author was Neil Simpson but this book isn't linked.

I'm planning to read

Just Started Andy Barrett's The Third Rule: Atrocities - first part of another trilogy. He's played another blinder. Starts with a real bang! The Third Rule - Part One: Atrocities

Noah Boyd.

Jonathan, ITB is a great book, but he was just getting into his stride - trust me (I'm NOT a doctor!) To The Grave is a new order of magnitude!

As my kindle approaches Christmas Day and the end of the warranty period I am getting increasingly nervous!

According to Anne Thingy on "Watchdog" Amazon say the Kindle has a 3 year life-span!
They never mentioned that on the website! My first one blew up after 9 months.

No, none at all. My kindle works perfectly! But i'm expecting it to fail catastrophically once my warranty expires - call me cynical all you want!
I have heard good things about amazon's customer service regarding kindles though, which makes sense as ultimately they want you to have a kindle so that you can buy more books!

Just getting into his stride? Blimey - I'm not sure I can wheel out any more superlatives!
ITB is so well plotted that I could easily read it again. And I don't often return to books.

I'm not usually a jealous person but in this case I'll make an exception ;@)

Just finished Andy Barrett's stunning The Third Rule - Part One: Atrocities and I understand he hopes to publish parts 2 and 3 over the next couple of days. I do hope so. It's the sort of story you can't clear from your mind. It's exciting and crime/thrillery of course, but it's so deep and it grabbed my emotions and I can't let it go. I don't think I can face another book till I find out what happens to these people.

Not sure what I shall read next ,too late tonight to decide so will decide in morning

They are showing on Amazon Pat, but 'not currently available' which means they haven't got the price on yet. Hope they get their skates on. I can assure you that this one will grab you tighter than 'Dead' by a long way. He can put lumps in my throat more than anyone I can think of. Can't start anything new till I read those!

It was a struggle. Will post review today.
Not sure what to read next. Either

YAY!!!

I had 3 on the go this week.
I just finished Linda Gruchy's Gladiatrix (on a sneak pre-peek and typo check lol)
It is certainly different to her other books and I don't think it was quite my cup of tea, although now I've finished it, I'm still thinking of it.
I'm now reading Shattered by Karl Jones. I'd started it a week ago, read about 15% then went back to it, but I refused to start it again. It's a good read so far. It does remind me of Linda's Elversford books, which is good as I like them
