Happy Sunday Philip. Im going to be in your area soon. I'll be in Nottingham next weekend for NovaCon, and visiting my brother in Derby for a couple of days first.

Ah, I see. Until I retired at the end of August, I used to work in Nottingham.

Just had this comment on FB 'highly entertaining, superbly written' - doesn't get better than that, does it? :-)
Gingerlily - Elephant Philosopher wrote: "You can get ointment for that."I've always thought that it would make a good title for a steam enthusiasts' magazine.
The next part of the Josiah and Archibald story. Hope you like it. I've sorted out the constantly changing surname that Kath kindly pointed out, now as well :-)http://www.wattpad.com/81848241-a-dub...
Gingerlily - Elephant Philosopher wrote: "Waving at you from Nottingham this time."Hello, Nottingham!
Gingerlily - Elephant Philosopher wrote: "Will be heading for the train station soon, then to Tamworth and Nuneaton."My word, you know how to live, don't you!
Nottingham station is quite impressive. Certainly better than what's left of Burton's.
I'm not sure if it means anything, but 'Last Rights' is currently trending on ReadWave!http://www.readwave.com/trending/
So, what are you doing now that you have retired - re-organising the house and driving your wife dotty by telling her there's a better way to do things?
Jan wrote: "So, what are you doing now that you have retired - re-organising the house and driving your wife dotty by telling her there's a better way to do things?"I wouldn't dare try to re-organise the house, but I'm probably driving my wife dotty, to say the least ;-)
I'm trying to do a bit more writing but most of our time is taken up with grandchild-minding, which is great but time-consuming.
Jan wrote: "Good one! Really enjoyed the story. Well done to get it published in the Telegraph."Thanks a lot, Jan. I'm afraid it's the Derby Telegraph rather than The Daily Telegraph, but you've got to start somewhere ;-)
Gingerlily - Elephant Philosopher wrote: "What my brother called The Rag."How very dare he? Do you know, I realised the other day that I've been writing for them, on and off, for 10 years next month!
Ok, come on, admit it. Who was excited this morning because they could open a window on their Advent Calendar? (tentatively raises one hand slightly and blushes)I've dragged out one of my Alter-Nativity stories to kick off December - http://www.readwave.com/the-night-wat... and I'm in the process of writing a new one :-)
Gingerlily - Elephant Philosopher wrote: "Christmas? Whats that then? Its something thats weeks and week away!"Not according to the adverts on the T.V., they've been banging on about it since October. I'll be ready to shoot Ant & Dec if they keep on.
