Philip Whiteland - the man behind Josiah and Archibald (which makes it sound like we're in a queue!)

Just goes to show that 'sighs matters' ;-)
Did you notice that Littlejohn in the Daily Mail has now climbed on the 'nostalgedy' bandwagon? Remember where you saw it first ;-)
There's a bit of a drive going on, on FB, for people to vote for their favourite memoirs on this list on Goodreads. IF you've read and enjoyed
I really would appreciate your vote. It's currently languishing at #348https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/2...
Really chuffed to be one of the winners in Wattpad's Memoir Month. You can find the story (about 10th in the list) here:http://www.wattpad.com/list/95713943-...
You can find an addition to the winning story about the avoidance of happiness, here:http://www.wattpad.com/55100674-if-yo...
The second part of 'The Curse of the Jolly Fisherman' story was published in the Derby Telegraph today. You can find it here:http://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/Bygon...

Thanks for your support, GL. I shall wear it always ;-)

It has that effect ;-) Thanks Patti.
I'm playing around with expanding these into a book:http://www.wattpad.com/59863670-a-dub...
Do you think it's got legs?
Well, on the basis of that resounding response, perhaps discretion is the better part of valour and I'll leave it alone ;-)
Oops. You should visit the morning thread and tell us you've posted these things, Phil!
I'll look now.
My early years are something of a mystery! One account has me wandering, as an infant, around Paddington railway station, dressed in an oversized duffel coat and wearing a gigantic hat. I had a marmalade sandwich in one hand and a four pack of lager in the other. Around my neck was a label saying 'Please look after his beer'.
Gingerlily - Elephant Philosopher wrote: "http://movieboozer.com/wp-content/upl..."Another good idea for a book pre-empted!
Just about everything has been done these days. Even if you think up something that you think is totally ridiculous, its been done. A day in the life of a leaf of lettuce for example. I bet there's a book about that...

Actually, whilst I'm here, I should let you know that to celebrate (or otherwise) my 60th birthday this Saturday, I'm having a Kindle Countdown Deal weekend for
on Saturday and Sunday.http://getbook.at/crutchesforducks
Gingerlily - Elephant Philosopher wrote: "60? A mere child still..."Humph. Would that it were so, GL :-(
Just while I'm on a roll (as opposed to a sandwich) here's this month's Derby Telegraph article:http://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/Bygon...
There's one thing about being so far down in the rankings that only trained sniffer dogs can find you - it doesn't take much to make a big difference. For example, in the last week 'Crutches for Ducks' has gone up the Amazon.com rankings by nearly one million places! Today America, tomorrow...
