Yes, I knew but only because I read in the paper "does she have a team of ghost writers who do the hard yards for her?" Apparently this question has risen because of the pure volume of stuff she churns out.

Does she churn out a volume of stuff? Have I missed something? Since Harry Potter there has only been The Casual Vacancy and this latest one hasn't there?

Do you have your authors mixed up Bette? As Phrynne said, she's only written the Harry Potter series, then The Casual Vacancy earlier this year, which was her first away from the HP genre?

Under pseudonym she releasedThe Cuckoo's Calling

Definitely read in The Age and definitely was about JK Rowling. I remember because I was surprised when I read it. That's where I read about The Cuckoo's Calling. In an editorial, it said there was a school of thought that she used ghost writers.
Sorry Phrynne, if you are a fan and thought you'd missed something.

Phrynne, no sweat! I was only joking about the cowering... part:) Maybe I needed to put a 'haha' after that.
I should have replied singularly to you. Saying "sorry, if you're a fan...."
Perhaps I needed to mentioned it was an editorial only.

I kind of love them but sometimes I want to give Tempe a good hard shake. For a strong, smart woman she makes some pretty silly decisions.
I am going to hear Kathy Reichs speak at a Dymocks Literary Luncheon next month.

Yes - it's in the Four Seasons Hotel. It's a big event with a yummy three course meal and wine followed by Kathy Reichs speaking - probably about her new book! Stuart MacBride is also on in September. I have not read anything by him yet but I will probably still go along to see him.
