What do you think..? Is Jamie Campbell- Bower good enough?(: I personally think he'll pull it off and surprise all of us! Practically just like Twilight! But better! (:

well even though he isnt who i envisioned to play Jace, i am going to give him the benefit of the doubt. He did manage to completely blow away the author of this series with his portrail of Jace, so he must be good. So now i am going to give him the shot for which he clearly deserves, and hope that me manages to blow me away as well...

dudes and dudettes... chill you have nothing to worry about. movie makers make movies... we read books and watch adaptations of books as movies ... leave them to make their movie making magic. You have nothing to fear except well, if the movie sucks.
But hey, raising stink-gas-like flames on goodreads about the actor playing Jace is a moot point.

hmmmm...Well, if this turns into a Twilight fiasco, I will be pissed, but seeing as how Roseanna was right, arguing is a moot point, I think we should give him and the author the benfit of the doubt. She thought he was fantaulous and he was really good in the show Camelot, so...Let's give him a try. If it sucks, feel free to hurl popcorn buckets in the movies.

Jamie is not my favorite Jace, but so far he acts well enough in his movies. As much as I love Alex Pettyfer as Jace, I think Jamie could act better than him. Sorry Alex baby...

Jamie is surely a better actor than Alex. I saw his movies, including Camelot TV series.

Okay, I'm just going to say that Jamie must be a freaking awesome actor, because he managed to blow away the author with his portrayal of Jace. They can change his looks to make him look more Jace-like, but they cannot change his acting abilities, so luckily they at least got a guy that can actually act. He will more than likely blow us all away after we watch City of Bones, and then we will all fall in love with him. Just like Twilight all over again, but I'm hoping the fans don't take it WAY over the top this time.
I think in Indonesia, my country, it will be the same as Twilight. People (or teenagers) knew Twilight after watching the movie. There are lots of Mortal Instruments fans here but the number is not as many as it should be. I mean...Mortal Instruments series is absolutely awesome! I even 'forced' some friends to buy and read the books.....:)

We are indeed upset with the casting. Jamie's appearance is so different from Jace.
But I believe it is not only me who wish Jamie the best. I think all fans feel the same. As mad as we might feel before, Jamie has been cast as Jace. There is nothing to do about that. What we could hope is that something should be done towards Jamie's girly look.

Acting can only go so far......they have to look the part too. This might not be the best example but...the guy who played Percy Jackson, is what I thought Percy Jackson would look like, though the storyline didn't follow the book at all... but that's not my point. Jamie Capmbell Bower has to have the looks and the acting. I'm giving him a chance. Hey, maybe with movie magic, they can make him rough and tough like the Jace we know.
