What are you doing this weekend?

I stayed up till after 1:00 this morning finishing Never Knowing. I had to get up early to go to work - should have known better.

I just started reading

I also have a very bad habit of staying up much later than I should! LOL ;)

I usually reading 2 or 3 books at a time. I'm listening to A Prayer for Owen Meany on my commute to and from work, and I'm reading The Woman in White.

And I'm thoroughly enjoying The Woman in White. It's a breath of fresh.

Oh yes! Loving it. I'm almost finished. I'm at (view spoiler) .

I won't tell anyone if you don't. :) Enjoy all your reads.

I'm happy that you're enjoying it. i hope to be soon!

Ouch! Sorry about the problems you're having with your file.

And I still haven't found the book!

An..."
Ouch! I know how that feels. I have books stashed everywhere. I managed to find 3 of the 4 books in the series "The Book of the New Sun" Gene Wolfe. The one I'm missing and can't find is the first one.

I was going to plant my bedding out plants this weekend. It should melt quickly and maybe I can still get them in on Sunday. I want to do a bit of quilting this weekend too.
What are you doing this weekend?

Do you have plans?
I've been fighting a nasty flu bug for 3 weeks now. I'm still coughing and my sinuses are still plugged. I intend on getting lots of rest. I have some commitments relating to this group and another group I belong to. I have a bookmark to make for our first challenge winner, a challenge badge to create for future challenges, a secret penpal letter to write, a bunch of discs to burn for an exchange.... Did I say I was going to rest? Oh! And of course, I will read.

I have the long weekend off from work so at least some portion of my little nuclear family is heading up to our family cottage (my family-of-birth) on the shores of Lake Ontario. "Cottage" = "Reading," so I'm looking forward to probably finishing up The Hunger Games. (I'm almost halfway done now and really enjoying it.) I've also got some other books on my Kindle that I'll either finish or make decent progress in: Enough Already!: Clearing Mental Clutter to Become the Best You, A Short History of Nearly Everything, and The Double Cross (Someday Quilts Mystery, #3)--depending on what mood I'm in when I get there. I'm debating bringing some quilt projects as well, but I don't want to haul a bunch of supplies so that still remains to be seen.

I'd like to do some quilting too. I purchased a block-of-the month kit from Keepsake with beautiful Tonga batiks and I almost have the 1st month done. The second month has arrived so I have that one to do as well. Do you have any quilts that just need the binding tacked down? That way you aren't taking a lot of supplies.

None that far along at this point. My current projects all require a sewing machine. However, I'm working on a hexie project for which I'm cutting hexagons whenever I have time but no brain power for sewing (using the Kaye Wood method of strips--very easy and accurate). However, I do need to mark all those hexies before I start sewing them so I'm thinking I may either just bring the hexies I've already cut so far and mark them; or I may bring my cutting mat and cutting supplies and cut more. But it's supposed to be beautiful and hot all weekend so I'll want to be outside as much as possible.
Which BOM are you doing?

It's pouring rain here. I plan on sleeping in tomorrow, reading, maybe sewing. Maybe I can talk my husband into going in to a movie in the evening.
On Sunday, I'll be quilting. I belong to a group that gets together once a month on a Sunday to sew. I'll be working on the quilt shown in msg 35.

I had to really think about that because I always work at my one client's on Thursday. I worked there yesterday AND today. I kept thinking it was Thursday, but it's actually Friday.

I will be working this weekend, and probably every day now till the end of the month. July is always such a busy month.
