None of the libraries around me have Hunt The Moon specifically or any other Karen Chance works in the system. Has any one else run across this?

Oh, good point, Ashleigh. (hide spoiler)] But how will Cassie ever find out about Dory, much less her connections in Faerie? Mircea knows about Dory's connections, but will he ever tell Cassie about it?

I cannot wait for Dory and Cassie to meet. I keep wondering how they'll find out about each other.

A comment on Mircea usually getting his vamps to protect her: Most of the instances of time travel involve Cassie and Mircea together, with him showing his determination and ability to watch over her.

And even if he's not by her side every moment, he's still a capable protector. If not for his power, influence, and interest, she wouldn't have those vamp bodyguards - whose loyalty is a lot easier to vet than the mage contingent.

I think despite his high-handedness, his intentions toward her are good. Plus, I think this book showed how significant it is that Cassie grew up around vamps - they very much expect her to understand their ways. I think Cassie overthinks things because of it. Like when he offered her a night out of time - I didn't see that as a manipulation scene. It was desire from a man who's thrilled the girl he loves is alive, who's been under a lot of strain, and who is horny for his girlfriend! Sounded pretty normal/basic to me.

I recently finished this and I really enjoyed it. I liked the mythology aspect a lot and learning more about Cassie's roots and Pritkin.. Though I am firmly a fan of Mircea and hope she ends up with him. Loved the night out of time, him finally sharing some feelings, and after reading the Dori books understand why he's gone so much.

if cassie goes into fairie on like a suicide mission mircea might introduce them but im thinking cassie will more likely stumble across dory, thats how she does most things and it seems to work for her, lol.

I can't help but think what the magical community newscasters are going to broadcast about the Naked Pythia. With mention about Lord Toe-Sucker's court since that was where it happened.
Dory is bound to ask Daddy about it...to tease/rub it in/taunt him about it.

im not sure dory will read about it, cassie was in a lot of the magazines before and they already said she was dating mircea in them, dory dosent seem to care about that stuff much.

i wonder if they'll have a picture of her and pritkin making out on mircea's front lawn covered in mud, haha

i kinda doubt the other vamps would be teasing mircea - he's one of the strongest.

maybe kit and possible the other senate members might do small jabs but wouldnt get away with more. im guessing they'd just tell him to fix it.

I wonder about that too? I hate to see the day that she is going to have to pick between the two of them. I think nothing will stop Cassie from trying to get Pritkin out. She's already proven she'll risk her life for him. I suspect she'll entice Rosier with uping the family power by a joining of Pritkin and her. Pritkin said it was the main reason he was born. Rosier has been waiting a long time for his investment in Pritkin to pay off. What do y'all think?

maybe, but surely if Rosier got Pritkin and Cassie to do a joining thing and then let Pritkin go, it wouldn't get Rosier anything. He needs Pritkin being obedient down in hell for him to trade Pritkin around with the other powerful demons in order for him to profit from it. If he let Pritkin go afterwards, wouldn't a joining be pointless, and just lose him a valuable asset?

yeah, i second that. myself i way prefer the theory that Cassie will use her power over the pathways inherited from her mother to close the doorways to hell and blackmail Rosier into giving Pritkin back. but i'm probably completely wrong and the reality will be something else entirely :P

I wonder how long we're going to have to wait to find out. It kind of seems to me that Rosier isn't going to be completely bad guy. I think the trouble is going to come from the demons that sentenced him. I wonder how Mircea is going to react to her shifting off to save him.

very badly, i'm sure :P he'll probably try to chain Cassie to a wall to stop her starting a war with hell, pissing off the entire assembly of lords and getting herself killed. not that it'll work... ^_^

i think it said because she'd been on earth so long, she'd lost practically all of her power, so was much easier to kill. i never really understood why the demigods didn't, though. maybe because they're part human/fey/whatever, they don't lose their power in the same way as this is naturally their world? okay, honestly i have no clue.

hey, anyone else wondering if Cassie has some awesome demi-goddess powers that she'll learn to use at some point in future books?

About Rosier. I think he, after all, cares a bit about Pritkin. Hell, he saved him from the council, adnd he kept an eye on him. (Remember him talking to Cassie, hoe she's be the death of Pritkin). I think it's all way more complicated than we think and the biggest problem Cassie will have to face while getting Pritkin back is the demon council.

meh. i'm not convinced. i think all that had a lot more to do with self-interest than any actual affection. he can't use Pritkin if he's dead, can he?

About Rosier.
I don't think he is as much the 'bad guy' as being motivated solely by profit. No profit in having sonny accidentally killed, so he keeps an eye on him.
For those on his wrong side(ie Cassie&Priktin), it makes him evil. For me t makes him interesting ^^.

She better be prepared to haggle with him, I bet millenia of XP prove useful once in a while...

Yep, that sounds about right to me. You know, in a twisted sorta way, i kinda-almost like Rosier. He is interesting. I hope we get to find out a bit more about how the demon-world and the courts there operate. Hey, I wonder how old Rosier actually is... 0_o
