like pee is just left over waste our body couldnt use, maybe vamp's use everything...?

OH! wait! i explain this by quoting Cassie in TtD; "metaphysics tells regular old physics to go take a hike sometimes". Problem solved :)

good question! i miss Marlowe. That was a pretty great scene in a family affair - I wonder how he feels about being thrown through a wall by Rosier. Wish we could have seen what happened after Cassie vanished...
Anyways, Lannister, have you asked that question, or should i forward it to her?

Thanks for asking for me! Much appreciated. :)

Earlier in the series, when the vamps were hunting Cassie, she still went to MAGIC to rescue Tomas when she heard he was going to be executed. If she was willing to do that for Tomas, even though he pretty much betrayed her, there's no way in hell (ha!) she's going to sit still until she has a plan to rescue Pritkin. And now she's officially recognised as Pythia, she can start demanding help from The Circle and other supernatural types.
So, how does one get to the demon realm? Has it told us anywhere in the books?

she doesn't usually fight in big teams - she's nearly always out numbered.

But you're right, I'm pretty sure Caleb will be helping her out - he specialises in demon hunting too, and Cassie can explain to him exactly what's going on with Pritkin regarding his father. Hmm, I wonder if Cassie's mother will point her in the direction of any help. I'd love to see the Graeae running around hell with Cassie, wreaking havoc :)
But does anyone else get the feeling that Mircea's going to try and stop Cassie saving Pritkin here, 'for her own good'? I reckon so - why would he let her risk her life more than she usually does to try and rescue someone he hates, who isn't even really in that much danger? Should be fun to watch ^_^

I doubt she'd take an army with her into Demonville. Most likely it would be just a couple of other mages, like Caleb. Taking the Graeae would be fabulous though! I'm thinking it might be like when they went to Faerie, where they hoped to get in and out without notice (even though that backfired spectacularly.)
If Cassie has any sense, she won't mention a word of it to Mircea. Let's face it, Mircea tries to stop her doing anything more risky than shopping for shoes. There's no way he's going to sanction a trip to hell (like she needs his permission!) Grrrr, Mircea makes me so angry sometimes. The Pythia can do whatever she wants. Screw the Vampire Senate!
:D

Argh, I really want the Graeae to go with Cassie to hell now. Anyone else think them meeting Rosier would be an utterly fantastic scene?

Alright, now THAT should have been on a t-shirt for the t-shirt competition. It so would have won XD

And, ok, Mircea sometimes is a totally annoying. I'm so on Pritkin team.

Mon, LOL, glad you liked that line! :) I love the vamps, but I just don't like seeing Cassie being manipulated, when she tries so hard to appease all sides.
Sarah, Yeah, I laughed when I read the answer to the "pee" question too. It was a dam good answer too. I had a good giggle where she wrote "do I have to explain why there’s beer? They’re playing poker. Can you even do that without beer? Even shitty beer like Foster’s, which to answer someone else’s question, Pritkin brought because he was being a bastard.
Pritkin is the maaan!

i also agree that mircea will try and stop cassie if he finds out she's going after pritkin - im also thinking if anything can put a gap in mircea and cassie's relationship it will be this.

I think this could definitely cause a rupture in Cassie & Mircea's relationship, though the only thing that counts against it is that I somehow don't see KC completely severing ties between them until the end of the series. I understand there's supposed to be nine books in total, so there's a while to go yet. If Cassie spent all of book 6 rescuing Pritkin (after sneaking off without telling Mircea), maybe she could spend all of book 7 arguing with Mircea about it before breaking up at the end (what a cliffhanger ending that would be!) Book 8 is all about Mircea trying to reconcile them, and book 9 Cassie & Pritkin run off to get married! There you go, I've finished the series for you LMAO!
When & how does everyone else think Cassie/Mircea's relationship will end? Or do you think she'll ultimately chose Mircea over Pritkin? What do y'all think?

im thinking along the same lines - that mircea and cassie wont break up untill toward the end of the series. im hoping she'll chose pritkin.
dory will also prob cause some conflict in Cassie & Mircea's relationship - they'll have trouble trusting each other more than they already do.

I love Mircea but don't think Cassie should end up with him. To be honest, I don't want her with Pritkin either, simply because her without one of them would be an unexpected ending.
I don't know... I always thought that there's no real romantic love between Cassie and Mircea. Him knowing her since she was a child and being "uncle Mircea" and then having sex with her later was kind of weird. I also sometimes think for her it's more about feeling protected. But then he overdoes it as we all know. LMAO
It's difficult to explain but I hope in the end they both realise that it's something else between them, nothing to build a relationship on.
Mircea can be happy being a vampire politician and if it makes you all happy, Cassie can marry Pritkin! LMAO

I'm hoping that Cassie and Mircea don't break up too soon, but I do want her to end it and try a proper relationship with Pritkin at some point - although I'm still not sure who I want her to end up with at the end of the series.
But I really hope Karen Chance doesn't cut all ties with Mircea when him and Cassie break up. He's such a fantastic character, and I honestly love him. I want him to stay as a main character and not just disappear even if he's not the love interest any more. I hate it when that happens in books, and I don't see KC doing that to Mircea.
Personally I don't think Cassie finding out about Dory will put as much strain on their relationship as her going to save Pritkin. Some, undoubtedly, but not as much. I can really see Mircea figuring out what she's up to in hell, then kidnapping her and keeping her locked up in a room somewhere 'for her own good'. And of course Cassie would go mental at him if that ever happened. Fun stuff :)

Mircea is a member of the North American Vampire Council and the negotiater at that. Even if Cassie and Mircea break up in the next book he'll be in the books all the time still because the silver circle and the council are allies in the war against the black circle and a medley of other rogues.

Sorry for the late response to recent comments. I got really busy, but I'm now about to spam the forum with my replies :)
Sarah, I like the idea that Cassie doesn't pick either of her guys. It would certainly be an interesting twist. I've mentioned this before, but I do wonder how KC will resolve the Cassie/Mircea/Pritkin love triangle without half of her fans wanting to tear her hair out. Between the two, I want Cassie to end up with Pritkin, but I don't like the idea of Mircea being jilted either. If KC were to steer Cassie & Mircea's relationship towards being part of 'a family' (and maybe this is where Dory comes in), that would work. Cassie & Mircea can still love and take care of each other, but in a platonic sense, and Mircea isn't left on the shelf broken-hearted. Hmmm, the more I think about this, the more I like it!!

I think it wouldn't be the fact that he has offspring that will be the issue, it's the fact that it's just one more thing that Mircea didn't feel Cassie needed to know. Once again, he doesn't treat her as an equal in their relationship.
Hey, wouldn't it be fabulous if Cassie travelled back in time and happened to run into Dory in the past and learned about it that way?! She would recognize Dory from the photo album and they'd get talking, then they'd get bitching about Mircea! Oh man, that would be so cool LMAO!!

Never a truer word was said! (I lol'd when I read this)
You make a good point Mollie about Mircea's position in the Senate. There's no way he's quietly disappearing out of the books. It could actually set up some interesting plotlines if Cassie & Mircea did have a fall out, yet she still had to deal with him in her role as Pythia & his as Chief Negotiator. Can you imagine the tension!

Oh, I love that idea! That sounds very amusing - I hope KC puts it in at some point in the series. I'm not too fond of the idea of Cassie ending up with neither of them (it would feel a bit too anti-climatic to me, although an ambiguous ending on that matter could be alright), but Cassie running in to Dory in the past also sounds great. I want Cassie to figure out who Dory is on her own without any help from Mircea, and then be able to confront him knowing she has all the facts straight (which I imagine is why she hasn't done so already). I don't know, I just think Cassie meeting Dory then accusing Mircea/Dory of sleeping with the other, then to be corrected and find out she's his daughter, just feels a little cringe-worthy of me :(
Do you reckon Dory would remember Cassie in the present if that happened?

in one of dory's books she overheard kit talking to someone (cant remember who) about cassie and mircea and dory thought cassie was just another of her dads conquest.
i wonder if she'll tell some of mircea's secrets to cassie to get back at him, lol.

I can see what you're saying that the ending might be anti-climactic if Cassie didn't pick either of her guys. I think it would depend how it was written, but yeah, everyone who's looked forward to reading the final resolution might be a bit disappointed. I think I would hate it if we were left hanging. I don't want ambiguity, I want to KNOW!! :)
I couldn't agree more with your comment about Cassie finding out about Dory on her own. I can imagine only too well Mircea talking down to Cassie in that oh-so-smug way he has, and Cassie feeling like an idiot because she got it wrong. Yeah, I hope it doesn't turn out like that. Maybe Marco or Louis Cesare or someone will accidentally let it slip.
Ashleigh, I'd really like Cassie & Dory to get on well and there's no real reason why they wouldn't. Dory doesn't like rogue vamps but she's fine with humans & non-threatening people. I'm so desperate for them to meet, and yeah I can totally imagine them having a girls night, and Dory - full of fae wine - spilling all Mircea's secrets!! That would be a riot :D
If Cassie & Dory did meet in the past, it's hard to say if Dory would remember. I'm really bad with faces and I don't recognise people I met 3 months ago, never mind possibly 300 yrs ago LOL! But maybe Dory has one of those super-retentive memories, especially if Cassie made a big impression on her. Who knows?

lol that would be classic! :P

Wait, when did that happen? Do you mean the bit in Death's Mistress when Mircea and Kit are talking whilst Dory's lying on the floor after her lovely little encounter with the consul?
And I strongly second that desire for Cassie and Dory to get on well. I reckon they would - Cassie would probably be one hell of a lot more interesting and nicer towards Dory than any of Mircea's usual lovers/conquests. Although considering Dory's views on Mircea, the fact that Cassie's actually dating him might lower her opinion of her somewhat...

I think Dory will have the impression that Cassie is little more than another puppet whose strings are being pulled by Mircea, and she may not be interested in knowing her. But I actually think this is where they might develop a bond. Dory, who has also been manipulated by Mircea, will maybe see a kindred spirit in Cassie. They both care for Mircea in their own way, but they have both suffered from his manipulative nature and neither is completely certain where they stand in his affections. They actually have a lot in common and I hope they realise it!
