I threw the book and got even more mad about how horrible the last book was.I would have rather had Katniss die, in some heroic way.
I loved the secondary characters more then the main character.
and then Finnick had to die!
After having a baby and getting married.
And I really hated the way he died.
Like I said
I would have rather it been Katniss.
I almost crapped my pants when prim, Finnick and all my other favorite characters died!! (i almost cried too)
OMG!!! I loved Finnick and was mad at Collins when she killed him off! I was even more mad when Prim died....PRIM!!! I honestly did cry, i won't deny it.

I didn't cry, but I was sad and thought it was stupid because it defeated the whole purpose of katniss going into the games for in the first book. I was also sad when Finnick died. His death was unecessary.
I was crying so hard when Prim died! And I am not usually one to cry over a secondary character. I was a bit upset about Finnick but not the way I was about Prim. Prim really reminded me of the relationship me and my own sister share (I am the older she is the younger and I basically raised her because we had absentee parents) so it felt especially close to home.
No, I actually got pretty mad when she died. (Mockingjay wasn't my favorite book.) I cried horrible tears over Rue's death, though.

No...I did not. I was devastated when Finnick died. It was like what? I could not believe my eyes and read again and it was kind of suck. He was so brave and important to be killed that way.
I didn't cry, but I rarely cry while reading a book. however, Mockingjay gave me the strangest reaction! For the rest of the day after I finished it, I was extremely, extremely depressed! I rarely let a book impact me the way Mockingjay did!
I didn't cry when Prim died. It just made me angry, like the whole series and everything Katniss went through was pointless. I felt betrayed because I loved the first two books so much. I did cry when Rue died though.

Nope didn't cry.. but ONLY because of the way it was written. Normally I probably would have been a wreak, but the scene seemed to come out of nowhere, with very little build up.. it just happened so fast. I remember thinking "What just happened?" and I had to go back and read it a second time to figure it out.
When I first read it, I didn't cry because I thought it couldn't have been real. Once I realized it wasn't a dream, I cried. I have a little sister and even though we don't always get along, I can't imagine my life without her.
The one thing I was certain Collins wouldn't do in the last book was to kill prim, but that is what she did!!! like WTF!! still loved the book though...haha
I know, I was so pissed about the whole thing. Throughout the whole book Katniss main concern is Prim, everything she's doing is for tiny little Prim, and then Collins goes and kills her off in a random paragraph that's not even totally understandable?! UGH!And wtf! Why did Finnick have to die all of a sudden too. That was too upsetting, and also so quick. I loved the secondary characters just as much as I liked the main characters. I just think Collins could have done without the blood bath of endeared characters at the end of book three. Leaves people a little deflated.
no but i was upset i loved prima and rue and finnick and cinna and most of the other characters =c though i was secretly happy some of them died dnt take me the wrong way please anyway tat was one scene that could hav been different cant wait for the movie next year =D

I didn't cry, but that was mostly because I was so confused, trying to figure out what was going on-- I wasn't sure if that last bit was real or a dream. Once I figured out that it was real, it was past the moment.
I cried in Catching Fire when the peole protesting from Rue's district were killed. That was the moment when I realized how involved I was in this story and with these characters.I was too shocked to cry when Prim died, just couldn't believe it.
nope....the news of that were too sudden....hate SC for that....she did it just so Gale could get out of the picture
Ditto the reactions of "It seemed to happen so fast & was so confusing I didn't realize what had happened until I was over it."
I figured Prim was going to die- The whole book is based off of fate not working out- by Katniss NOT letting Prim die at the beginning, Prim had to die in the end. Although I was upset when Cinna died, I cried so hard then, because he didn't deserve to die, he started the revolution, and he was better than Katniss ever was. She was noticed because Cinna made her noticeable, and she was a symbol of the Revolution because Cinna made her the mockingjay.
I didn't cry when Prim died. But, that's mainly because I was confused too. I had to read it over to be sure I understood what really happened. Did Prim just die? Finnick didn't get to me either, but I do agree that it was a bit unnecessary to the story. However, as someone else said, I bawled like a baby when Rue died. I LOVED this series, but I wish some of the people, like Cinna, would have been allowed to live. I guess that's what makes the story more real to life. It's not always who you want to live who does.
Yeah, Cinna was really nce and just didn't deserve to die. I also agree that I would have prefered Katniss die in some heroic way.
I was in DENIAL. from that moment forward, I thought it was just A DREAM. seriously. until the last page I was hoping she's in one of her hallucinations, whatever. haha.
I did cry a little, but not like I did when Rue died. I didn't feel as strong a connection with Prim as I did with some of the other characters like Finnick or Rue.
Every character's death made me cry. The books were so well written it made you really feel for all of the characters. The end was so sad. :' (
No, but I was close. While I absolutely adored her character and was shocked and horrified that she died--I read over the part a couple times to make sure what I was reading really happened--I feel as if the conclusion to Mockingjay was poorly executed. It seemed rushed and a quick, "easy fix" to end the book. Her death was bland and presented in a more "shocking" fashion than a sad one, just as one (or me, at least) simply does not "cheer" or feel immense happiness for Katniss and Peeta winning the 74th Hunger Games due to the terribleness of the situation itself, and the manner in which it was presented and about which it was written.Along with this, I wasn't sure if Prim actually DIED or not, as it kept referencing her screams and voice and whatnot-- as we all know, Suzanne Collins apparently loves to say or imply something's happening to a certain character when, in reality, it's not (for example, the Jabberjay section of the 75th Hunger Games arena).
I did cry when Rue died, though.
I definitely agree with you Eli. The ending of Mockingjay in general seemed rushed. People died left and right and it was really hard to keep up with who was left. At a few points I had to go back and make sure I didn't miss anyone's death. I think that was also part of the reason Prim's death wasn't as moving to me. After so many people died in such a short period of time it starts to lose it power.
No, I didn't cry. I got pretty annoyed though. I felt as if the moment of Prim's death could have been a bit more..emotional? Like Rue's death. I thought it was wasted and kind of defeated the purpose of the whole story, which is what I guess Collins was trying to get at-the world is unfair, horrible, etc. Finnicks death made me soooo mad!!! I almost didn't even realise that he had actually died!! It was such a stupid death and I kept thinking he was going to pop up through some secret tunnel or something!!! Seriously!! He just went slightly nuts because he thought Annie was being hurt or killed, he finally gets her back and then HE DIES!!!!!! WHY?!!!

I understand that Prim's death was necessary for the plot but Finnick's death didn't add anything to it. I enjoyed this series but I really didn't like how Collins wrapped it up. She just killed almost every character in the end, made Katniss completely traumatized and broken, and the ending was so rushed. I was so looking forward to Katniss finally telling Peeta she loved him and I was completely disappointed how Collins wrote the scene.
