Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 44 comments Lisa - I pick Bitten (Women of the Otherworld, #1) by Kelley Armstrong for you. I just love this series, at least as many as I have read! I need to catch up with it....

For my next 5

Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins American Vampire by Jennifer Armintrout Fragile Eternity (Wicked Lovely, #3) by Melissa Marr Turnskin by Nicole Kimberling Prey (Infected, #1) by Andrea Speed

message 259: by Hannah (last edited Jul 23, 2011 08:09PM) (new)

Hannah (shgmclicious) You MUST read Catching Fire! that will suck you in, and then you'll be obsessed with finishing the trilogy.

Not all of mine are YA, but I have a pile of books borrowed from people and out from the library, and I have to read them all before I move across the country in a few weeks. So which one first?

Ingo (Ingo, #1) by Helen Dunmore Leaving Atlanta A Novel by Tayari Jones The Geeks Shall Inherit the Earth Popularity, Quirk Theory and Why Outsiders Thrive After High School by Alexandra Robbins One Day by David Nicholls The Queen of the South by Arturo Pérez-Reverte

I'm currently reading The Pleasures of Children's Literature (3rd Edition) by Perry Nodelman and In Search of Our Mothers' Gardens Womanist Prose by Alice Walker , both of which are great, but too much lit theory without a novel or something lighter gets tiresome.

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 44 comments Thanks Hannah! I'll be starting it as soon as I finish Paranormalcy (Paranormalcy, #1) by Kiersten White . I read The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins last year, but it took me awhile to be able to grab Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins and Mockingjay (The Hunger Games, #3) by Suzanne Collins . I have both, so I'll probably finish them up soon!

Enjoy! while the entire trilogy has its flaws and isn't perfect, Catching Fire was good enough to make me cancel on going to a party in favor of calling three bookstores to see if they had Mockingjay, and I finished both of the last two books in one day before I would let myself go to bed.

message 262: by [deleted user] (new)

Damn, Hannah i havent read any of yours either!

Lisa Wadsworth (djtjmom) | 39 comments I finished Bitten by Kelley Armstrong. It was a good book but I didn't like it as well as I did her Darkest Powers series

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Kelley Armstrong's books have always been kind of just okay to me, both adult and YA. I think her writing style is a bit too slow for me, although it's probably just me because she has a lot of fans.

Louise, I'm picking Way of Shadows for you because I really want your opinion on that one. I keep meaning to go back and finish it, since most everyone likes that book who's read it.

message 280: by [deleted user] (new)
