Group Read for May!
How about "The Devil in the White City" by Erik Larson.I've heard it's good from a few different people.
I like to suggestGift of JoyMs. Maarten takes you through a past saddness and proves the future can be very diferent from what you think. plus a dn happy ending.
I believe
comes out in May so I'd like to nominate that. (I haven't read the third book yet but I'm willing to read both when the fourth comes out lol) :)
Series nominations are fine, but please make sure the nomination is for the first book in a series. A series already in progress won't work because it's assuming everyone has read up to that point already.
I was going to go through my list and nominate one, but there's a couple up here already I wouldn't mind voting for.
I'm just going to throw
out there. I don't know if there are any Michele Bardsley fans here, but she is a good read. First book in her new series. I have it, but haven't started it yet.

to
as this is the first in the series. :)
I'm with Marcella that series was cool. I think we should read one of these.
I don't know if these two fall into this trilogy but These would be good to:

I have Dark Seduction on the list of books for the poll. Dark Embrace is the third book in that series, so I'm not going to add that one, unfortunately. But thanks so much for all your suggestions.
I'm not sure, lol. I'm getting so many. I'm thinking about closing the nomination early. It's the first time we're doing it this way, so it's trial and error, lmao.
Stacia - thoughts?

Me too! :D haha...
So many good suggestions! How will we ever choose?? Is this going to turn out where eveyone votes for their own nomination?? lol! This is on my tbr list! Been wanting to get to it in this lifetime. Guess it will be what we are in the mood for at the moment huh.
Mistress of the Art of Death.

I think for our first group read, we should keep it simple and stick to one book. If it works out well, we could always bump it up to two books for more variety, maybe even pick monthly genres or themes. How does that sound?
We probably should consider cutting off the nominations early if we start getting too big of a number, so we don't have to make more than one poll?

That's why I'm not even going to nominate one. There's at least 4 up there now already that I want to read!

I'll have to check and see what the max number for a poll is...

Welcome to our group! That one does look good, I'm not sure what I'll vote for yet, but I swear not to vote for what I nominated! Hahaha
What if you just picked 5-6 from what was suggested... I not sure that i'll pick the book I suggested. They all looked good :) Great Job Wendy & Stacia!!
I'm going to nominate:First choice -Tempting the Beast. This is totally new to me author and category (PNR borderline Erotica).
Second choice - Dark Seduction. This one has been on my TBR and just put it on hold at my library.

I love to get involved in a series. I'd love to see a recommend for a book 1 in a really great series. Of course, I can't suggest because that is what I am seeking lolAnyone else have a suggestion for a book 1 in what you would consider an amazing series, please feel free to send me a PM. Hopefully I have not already read it.
There already so many books that were recommended for the My group read, that I will just keep thinking a bit longer and not suggest anything till you ask for suggestions for June =oD .

Please post any book you think may be good candidate for our much anticipated May Group Read. Please avoid selecting any book that is not the first in a series. Not everyone in the group may have read the previous books.
This will last until the evening of April 8th, (Until just before I go night-night, haha). At which time I will compile all submissions into a voting poll.
Let the fun begin!
