Goal: Read a book from 10 different series. Be sure to identify what series they belong to, and what number in the order.

The Pepper Martin series is, like the Sookie books, more mystery than PNR or UF. But, since we count Sookie, I figured Pepper was good too. She's a tour guide in a Cleveland cemetery. Who just happens to see ghosts. This was caused by a fall in the cemetery where she banged her head and knocked herself out. When she came to, she had this interesting little ability. A good series, but more cozy than hard mystery. Just like the Sookie's are more cozy (just with vamps) than hard mystery. I do enjoy this series, some of the books more than others. In this one, the ghost asking Pepper for help just turns out to be an old friend of her boss Ella. (By old, I mean when Ella was in high school. And that's when the girl was killed.)

As with most cozy's there wasn't a lot of suspense about who done it, nor what the secondary sleezy character did. But both villians got what was coming to them in the end.

And another one bites the dust. Altho I really think that Hard Magic, like the Sookie and Pepper books is almost more mystery than anything else. But, because of the use of magic--and the appearance of the Fae, dragons and magic users, I think it can also be classified as UF. Altho, weirdly enough, B&N categorize it as Sci-Fi. Don't know where they got that, since with the use of magic, I'd think Fantasy would be more the way to classify it, if you're more "mainstream" (hey, Muggles has gotten WAY to mainstream to use.)
