Hi Laura

Thats a good list and some I did want to read anyway :) Thank you.

So I took them all and checked at my Library. Here are the ones I can get my hands on -

A Bend in the Road
The Host
The Hunger Games
The Book Thief
Crooked House

The others I have requested for, I hope they come in time :)

Starting with the The Host.

D.G. | 4477 comments Wow, Freya. Great list! I've read all of them except A Bend in the Road.

message 1054: by Debbie (new)

Debbie (db_debber) | 2757 comments Bend in the road is a typical, emotional Nicholas Sparks. The Host, I was so surprised at how emotional that one was also. Loved it myself, hope you like it too.

D.G. - toil and trouble, huh - wicked witch this week?

Yay! I am so glad that you liked my recs! I always get nervous when I am picking...I want to pick books that I think my partner will love. Those are some of my most favorite books. I agree with Melissa**, it took me a couple chapters of The Host to understand what was going on but it was a great book so stick with it. I can't wait to hear what you think!

Hi,Lili!
So, you`ve read the first book of the Anita Blake series ,no harm done ,this series is good .
Archangel's Consort and Magic Strikes both are very good and I loved them .

How are you liking Dreams of a Dark Warrior so far? It's one of my favourite books this year.

Just started chapter 12 and I had to stop for a bit... I'm taking it slow, really really enjoying it 'cause the next one won't be released until January 2012 and I need to prepare myself for the wait.
Lothaire's book is going to be something else!, I am dying to know who'll be his mate... I'm thinking... Nix?

Thanks Kate. I think I found a new series. Of course, I am a BDB fan to the core so I may find the similarities in this series annoying.

Not sure which came first and it doesn't really matter. I will keep going and get acquainted with a new set of Brothers..er..I mean..Warriors. :)

message 1070: by Monica (new)

Monica Maybe (monicamaybe) | 45 comments Autumn, as you know, I've been a very bad buddy and finished The Devil Wears Plaid by Teresa Medeiros. I liked it enough to try another of her historicals, but I'm wary.

I read Talk Me Down by Victoria Dahl and I enjoyed the story, even though I felt like I had read it before. I was a little blindsided by all the sex in there, I'm not used to that much in my books outside of erotica and Laurell K. Hamilton.

I read Then Came You by Lisa Kleypas and LOVED it. I had already read the second book, but who knows when I would have got the this one? So, thank you for that!

As you might have been able to tell, I've skipped the 'Intense' and 'New' categories, but it's only because I haven't been able to find the books yet, honest. =]

Totally butting in where I don't belong, but I'm so glad you liked it. It seems that when anyone likes her books, I feel personally proud, as if I actually had something to do with it. I haven't snooped on your shelves, but you should try Shadow Music or The Lion's Lady.

Butting out now...

I'm glad that you like it, although I don't know how you can have so much patience to stop in the middle of the action *laughs*
About Lothaire's book , I don't believe his Bride is Nix ,you'll see why when you'll finish DoaDW ,there are some snippets ,some clues about his mate that make me think it's someone new .
Also , KC mentioned that Nix's book is among the last ones in the series so there you have it ;)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments hi Missy
I finished up Lover Unleashed last night and while I wasn't so sure about the Manny/Payne combo, I ended up really enjoying it and gave it 4 stars. I think I was one of the few who liked how not all of the brothers were present all the time, because they do tend to drown out the main characters, but the integration of V/Jane and Butch worked well because they were essentially to Payne's story line...now I just have to wait a year for the next book (although i've heard rumors she has a couple of novella's coming out this summer)

Ceej (drqangel) | 1015 comments AlbertaJenn

I'm still waiting on the library to get my copy of Desire Untamed. So I'm going to call it good with having finished The Chase. I do believe Evan's book has become my favorite of the series. He's such a brat that I seriously wished he were real so I could smack him. Kendall wasn't much better but it made for an interesting read. Don't get me wrong, I love smut and McCarthy is pretty good at it. It's just that she tries to give a story along with it and in this one she hit the mark.

I finished Remembrance by Jude Deveraux . at last eh?

So, I`m familiar with JD time travel stories, but boy i was not for this one..it was like 3 in one... the Elizabethan life was the sweetest and most sad..i loved the interchangeable POV the book took as the life times changed. I also learned a great deal of things of Edwardian and Elizabethan era! not to mention a book in NYC that has the most out of print books around!!

thanks for the lovely rec!!! :)

Hey Layla... just finished Dreams of a Dark Warrior and gave it 4 stars.

I had high expectations for this book since Regin is one of my favorites characters but I just couldn't get to like Aidan.
It was a little too complicated and... I don't know, it was funny and sexy but it didn't quite do it for me.

Now I wait for Lothaire's book... and maybe Phenix's too?

Alexis, the series only gets better. Really. But after you read #4 and before you read #5, be sure to read the two Night Huntress World books.

Kate, wish I could say the same thing. I loved Imogen, but I just didn't enjoy the third one as much. Not that it's not a worthy read, but I just didn't like it as much. Doesn't mean I can't wait to read #4 either. It's been out for a couple of weeks, I just haven't picked it up yet.
