tytti | 58 comments We all love her books and even more her characters, but which book would you choose, if you could only choose ONE?
Yes, only ONE.

My first LK book was Smooth Talking Stranger and after that I've read 17 of her books (new order arrives next week, yay!!!) and I just love her work. But there was something about Ella and Jack... Especially Jack... Sigh...

So I choose
Smooth Talking Stranger (Travises, #3) by Lisa Kleypas

Heidi | 871 comments I guess I would have to go with Again The Magic by Lisa Kleypas ..I loved Aline & John McKenna!

Fani *loves angst* (fanip) Devil in Winter (Wallflowers, #3) by Lisa Kleypas without a doubt!

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

I've only read her Wallflowers so far, but if I were to chose between those, I'll agree with Fani: Devil In Winter!

Then Came You (Gamblers, #1) by Lisa Kleypas

I have to say that the title always make me chuckle but I have a terrible sense of humour. Great book anyhow.

Agree.... my favorite out of the Wallflowers

Julianna (authorjuliannad) | 380 comments It is tough to pick only one. I also haven't read all of LK's books yet, so my #1 choice could change later on, but for right now it's Sandal in Spring.
Scandal in Spring (Wallflowers, #4) by Lisa Kleypas

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) While Devil in Winter is a def top ten I'm going to have to go with one of her more recent novels..
Probably Tempt Me at Twilight (The Hathaways, #3) by Lisa Kleypas but Married By Morning (The Hathaways, #4) by Lisa Kleypas and Love in the Afternoon (The Hathaways, #5) by Lisa Kleypas are a close 2nd.

message 9: by Megan (new)

Megan | 546 comments I love Mine Till Midnight (The Hathaways, #1) by Lisa Kleypas , Cam is so hot. But I also loved Devil in Winter (Wallflowers, #3) by Lisa Kleypas . This is a tough choice, I love all her books.

message 10: by SmittenKitten (last edited Mar 07, 2011 08:19AM) (new)

SmittenKitten | 61 comments I have to go with It Happened One Autumn (Wallflowers, #2) by Lisa Kleypas because I think Lillian Bowman and Lord Westcliff were made for each other... opposites attract! :)

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

Actually, I thought they were kind of similar and Sebastian and Evie were much more opposites. ;) But they sure were made for each other!

Carol Storm (lilybits) | 52 comments Worth Any Price (Bow Street Runners, #3) by Lisa Kleypas

Because Nick Gentry is the baddest dude around. He doesn't just need Charlotte for sex. His survival as a man depends on having her in his life. Without her he could very well become a stone cold killer or a man damned beyond redemption. He has to have her!

Or as Howlin Wolf put it, "when you see me runnin, you know my life's at stake."

message 13: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 871 comments Oh NO! I forgot Worth Any Price (Bow Street Runners, #3) by Lisa Kleypas ,,,I have to change and say thats my fave! Oh shit, how could I forget NICK!!!!!!

Julianna (authorjuliannad) | 380 comments Worth Any Price is a very close second for me.:-)

KatLynne | 23 comments Hi ladies. Gosh..this is a hard one and I'll have to say that I like all your picks!:) It's hard to pick one...but, I would have to choose Devil in Winter.

Me too.

Carol Cork *Young at Heart Oldie* (httpsrakesandrascalswordpresscom) | 2140 comments I'd have to go for Again The Magic by Lisa Kleypas because it is so poignant.

LOL!! Lisa, in my defense: by God,i did tried hahah!!this is a suicidal question that tears hairs apart, because while i like a book best for plot, i liked another one for the Hero or Heroine..non non.. too much to consider ^_^

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 4782 comments OMG! Autumn! I'm laughing again, and I've already seen it. I cankdf; barldy typeeie... LOL! I really needed that. I can never explain to you how much.

Okay, back to my answer I was going to post. Jack Travis in Smooth Talking Stranger (Travises, #3) by Lisa Kleypas . I know I like Autumn's posting of what she though HE looked like. (Wipe away drool). LOL!

tytti | 58 comments Perhaps I should make this just a little bit easier *wink...wink*....?

What if I asked you to choose your favorite RIGHT NOW, because maybe tomorrow it'll be different...

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

Dreaming of You
This is hard because Lisa is my favorite but Dreaming of You takes the cake. Probably one of my favorite books ever. So amazing.

message 27: by Sydnee (new)

Sydnee (defygravity18) | 41 comments Devil in Winter. I've had to rebuy it twice...lol

message 28: by Danielle The Book Huntress , Certifiable St. Vinnie's Ninny (new)

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 3737 comments Um....Devil in Winter. I'm a St. Vinnie girl all the way. But it ain't easy to choose a favorite by this most esteemed author!

message 29: by Annie (new)

message 30: by Katherine (new)

Katherine | 828 comments I haven't read all her books yet and have enjoyed many I would have to pick Devil in Winter (Wallflowers #3) by Lisa Kleypas and Love in the Afternoon (The Hathaways, #5) by Lisa Kleypas . They were both magical for me.

message 31: by Linds (new)

Linds This is Really Hard. Derek Craven is my favorite hero but Im going to have to go with Seduce Me at Sunrise. I think its Merripen's intensity. I love it and it gets the most re reads.

message 32: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 871 comments Where Dreams Begin by Lisa Kleypas or Secrets of a Summer Night (Wallflowers, #1) by Lisa Kleypas or Again The Magic (Wallflowers, #0.5) by Lisa Kleypas or....well, you get the point!

message 33: by Ila (new)

Ila God, this is such a hard question I think Devil in Winter would be top pick, I mean it's Evie and Sebastian!! Followed by Married By Morning cause Leo and Cat and just so adorable together.

message 34: by Pioulard (new)

Pioulard | 3 comments Seduce me at Sunrise, without a doubt. Merripen!
*swoon*
*THUD*

message 35: by Marni (new)

Marni (kravmama) Definitely Cravin' Craven in DREAMING OF YOU!!!! I am a sucker for tormented male characters.

message 36: by Lily (new)

Lily | 3 comments If I HAD to pick just one... I guess I'd go with Derek craven in dreaming of you

message 37: by Lemon (last edited Sep 24, 2013 10:25PM) (new)

Lemon | 5 comments This is so hard! But if I had to pick just one (with much coercion), it would have to be Dreaming of You. Derek was my first Lisa Kleypas hero and my first LK love.

message 38: by Danielle The Book Huntress , Certifiable St. Vinnie's Ninny (new)

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 3737 comments I can totally understand why you girls would say Dreaming of You/Derek Craven.

message 39: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 4782 comments **gigglesnort** Yes, I bet you do, Lady D.

message 40: by Danielle The Book Huntress , Certifiable St. Vinnie's Ninny (new)

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 3737 comments Well sort of for that reason, but as you know, I'm all about St. Vinnie. Craven is probably # 3 now for me.

I think that Dreaming of You has a story that seems to resonate with LK fans.

♥ℳelody (melodiousimagination) | 314 comments Just pick ONE?! :0

I'd have to go with Love in the Afternoon (The Hathaways, #5) by Lisa Kleypas hands down. I want my very own Christopher. <3 And Beatrix is my alter ego I'm convinced of it! lol

Devil in Winter and Seduce me at Sunrise come in close second. The couples and story are pure delicious magic for me.

message 42: by Danielle The Book Huntress , Certifiable St. Vinnie's Ninny (new)

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 3737 comments I still need to read LitA. I'm holding onto it for when I really need a LK historical romance fix.

message 43: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 4782 comments LOVE Beatrix! I'm such an animal lover, too.

message 44: by Danielle The Book Huntress , Certifiable St. Vinnie's Ninny (new)

message 45: by ♥ℳelody (last edited Sep 25, 2013 12:44PM) (new)

♥ℳelody (melodiousimagination) | 314 comments Me too! I wanted to be a vet when I was growing up. As a kid I had this thing for 'rescuing' injured animals. I never went as far as Beatrix (my parents would throw me out if I kept them lol) but tried to take care of them with the help of my dad. I don't think I look at a squirrel the same way again after this book. :P

And (view spoiler)

Lady D you NEED to read it. Must must must! It's a book that makes you melt all over. For me at least it did. Pure pure magic.

It's funny, LitA is the very first Kleypas book I gave my mom to read. She fell in love with the story (and Christopher Ha!) and has been reading LK books ever since. She's a big fan of LK now.

message 46: by Lisa Kay (new)

I'm with you, Melody. I wanted to be a vet, too.

Danielle, clearly Sebastien and Devil in Winter would be your pick. What's your second pick? Would it be Married By Morning and Leo? You seem to have a thing for those reformed rakes.

Agh, don't make me pick seconds. It would be a really hard toss up between Where Dreams Begin and Mine Till Midnight and Lady Sophia's Lover. I love Cam!

message 48: by Danielle The Book Huntress , Certifiable St. Vinnie's Ninny (last edited Sep 25, 2013 01:53PM) (new)

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 3737 comments Actually my second favorite LK hero is Simon Hunt. I love his spirit of going after what he wanted and being a hard worker and proud of his origins. I don't know that's it's a reformed rakes fixation, so much as dangerous/bad/edgy characters (love them). Actually I don't like rakes in general (b/c I don't care for promiscuous heroes).

I actually didn't like Leo at first, but he grew on me. I'm thinking he might be in my top 10.

Cam is just wonderful and I definitely love Ross Cannon. I know I'm in the minority, but I don't have that strong an attraction to Where Dreams Begin (probably because of Holly being so in love with her first husband).

My list of LK heroes in order

1. St. Vinnie
2. Simon Hunt
3. Derek Craven
4. Hardy Cates
5. Harry Rutledge
6. Ross Cannon
7. John McKenna
8. Cam Rohan
9. Nick Gentry
10. Leo Hathaway

I sort of guessed on the priority on the last ones since I fixate heavily on the top five. :)

Being a vet is like any other career. Goods and bads. I am glad I chose the profession, but there are challenges that vets have to deal with, so it's not as fun as it sounds, honestly.

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 3737 comments @ Melody, I will definitely read LitA, but like I said, when I need a sure thing! :)
