2011 March Reading Challenge

[Yz the Whyz]

With March being the third month, our monthly challenge will be honoring the number three. Three is a powerful number.

“The power of three is universal and is the tripartide nature of the world as heaven, earth, and waters. It is human as body, soul and spirit. Three is birth, life, death. It is the beginning, middle and end. Three is a complete cycle unto itself. It is past, present, future.”

We are calling this challenge, “The Power of Three”.

DURATION: March 1 - March 31, 2011

The categories are:

1 - 3 Read three books that has three-word titles.
4 - 6 Read three books that were written by three-name authors (ex. Karen Marie Moning, Jayne Ann Krentz, Laurell K. Hamilton, J.R. Ward, etc). You may use the same author for all three books, or different authors.
7 - 9 Read a trilogy
10. Read a book that is the third book in a series.

As usual, you may post your list in advance, but no reading before March 1.

Since I count middle initial as one, that will make his total 'four'. So, no.

I'm lost as to what to do for "trilogy." I know they are our there but I've read book 1 and/or 2 of the ones on my TBR shelf & my other series books tend to have 3+ books in the series. Is it okay to count it as a trilogy if the 4th book isn't published yet? If not, any suggestions?

Do all the books have to be paranormal romance? I kind of like to read a couple of parnormal romance, a couple urban fantasy, a couple historical romance, some fantasy, etc. I'm going to try to read books that I already own this month. The only trilogy that I have that I haven't read is The Mistborn Trilogy. I do have three BDB that I haven't read, but that is probably the only paranormal romances that I have that would fit the 3's challenge.

Sometime in the last year there was a monthly release of three romances about a post-appocolyptic world. Some men woke up in the future, emerging from a cave of some sort with extra abilities. One of their father's had in some way been responsible for what happened to the rest of the world. I wish I could remember a title or name, because I remember thinking it sounded interesting.
