Kimberly Comeau (kimberlykcomeau) | 299 comments Petra, why did you buy something that may smell like rotted fish?

message 302: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) Because when it is washed it apparently smells like nothing at all and because they are very filling and have 0 calories. O, zero, zilch, no calories and are pasta! I lost 55 lbs a year and a half ago nearly and it is really difficult keeping it off, anything that helps I will try.

Petra X (petra-x) I've never fancied kale. What does it taste like?

Thing is I have an additional challenge. I had, until very recently, no social life and didn't drink because I didn't like the taste of alcohol. In the last about month I have got a social life and have been corrupted onto vodka/grapefruit and champagne. So I have to cut calories for food as much as possible. I live on fish and salads and porridge as it is, not much room for cutting there, so a 0 calorie food appealed to me.

Kimberly Comeau (kimberlykcomeau) | 299 comments I learn something new every day. No wonder it's "magic."

Kale is one of my favorite greens. For variety, sprinkle it with just a touch of vinegar. Yum!

Petra X (petra-x) I saw coffee-table from books online. I don't think it is brilliant but it is good inspiration and since I can no longer sell hard-back fiction in the shop... maybe I should consider furniture!

Kimberly Comeau (kimberlykcomeau) | 299 comments I'd prefer a book reading chair. *That* would be clever.

Kimberly Comeau (kimberlykcomeau) | 299 comments A chair made out of books. A footstool to go along with it would be an added convenience.

Petra X (petra-x) It wouldn't be hard for a carpenter to build a book reading chair, since if you glue the books together (on the outside, would take too long page-by-page) with lots of coats wood glue, you are transforming it back into wood. But it's beyond me. Putting in a screw is about my diy limit.
