Well, I'm recovering from surgery so I've been doing a lot more sleeping than I originally thought. Good thing I'm doing the week long readathon, so I have time to catch up a bit!I've read 1 book so far, and I've got another one read about 1/3 of the way. Hopefully as the week continues I'll be able to catch up more!
I finally finished my fourth book The Sweet Life in Paris: A Recipe for Living in the World's Most Delicious City (I HATE migraines!) and am off to read another of the mini challenges Salt.My totals so far:

It did remind me a lot of books like TKaM and 'The Watsons go to Birmingham' (both of which I really liked) but it just didn't grab me.
I also finished my third book in the wee hours of the morning. City of Bones which fulfills mini-challenge #3- it had been on my tbr pile since Feb 2009!
I've finished 3 books (and 4 challenges so far). I just started Demon's Fire from my TBR pile. Total page count so far for the read a thon is 900.
I've finished 4 books and completed mini challenges 1, 3, and 7. I'm now reading My loved one's pick - The Poisoner's handbook - for challenge number 5.

I finished my first book, The Lost Hero, yesterday for challenge #5; I'm halfway through Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close for #4. I'm happy with this, as I've found it difficult to get any reading done at all this year.
I,m not getting as much reading done as I anticipated, only read 315 pages so far. Will keep plodding on though.
I've slowed down. I think I may be starting a reading rut. I've started 3 different books yesterday and can't seem to get into any of them.

I am not having a good reading day today. I'm working my way through Of Mice and Men. Nice and short. I want to finish at least one book today.
I just finished my first book since starting this readathon - Behemoth. Took me a while, but totally worth it. Can't wait for the next book!
I just finished book #4: Oh.My.Gods. by Tera Lynn Childs. It is set in Greece, so it counts for my mini-challenge #7 (even though my husband picked it and I was going to use it for Loved One's Touch, but then decided to use it for the Globe-trotter instead - he can pick another one for me!). It is for young adults, but there is a lot of humor that adults will pick up on. It deals with mythology and current teens who are descendants of the gods, and is quite interesting.

Overlap
You are allowed ONE overlap and it can ONLY be #1 (Not-quite-a-chunkster) with any one of the other 6. That's because #1 is the most generic one, the other 6 are pretty specific and narrow. (The overlap is optional - #1 can be a challenge of its own.)

I have finished my 4th book or is is 5th? At this point, I'm not sure what my name is. I probably won't finish many more of the mini-challenges (believe I have 3 left). We put my beloved cat to sleep last evening and I'm not doing so well. So please be patient with me if you don't hear from me for a couple of days.

Not sure what I'll read now...the one I just finished was not very good...left a sour taste so to speak.
I finished my #5 for the Read-a-thon. It's called My Candlelight Novel by Joanna Horniman. It is a book I am reviewing, so it doesn't fit in any of the mini-challenges. It is a good story.I am also 3/4 of the way through The Elegance of Hedgehogs (from Vanessa's shelf) but with having to read my review books, I don't know if I will finish it by Saturday. I am enjoying it, though.

Wow....I am impressed by how much everyone has been able to read.....so far got one book read337 pages Bloodfever by Karen Marie Moning (Ireland, never been there or live there)

I haven't even really thought about reading since the first post I did. I am just today really getting into reading again. Currently reading Jane Eyre and Twenty Wishes. I am currently about 70% done with Jane Eyre and 27% into Twenty Wishes. I am going to try to finish both of these today or tomorrow...Then start on another big book. Or a small book I know I can quickly get through.
I'm down to the last challenge...#2.I picked up a graphic novel at the library to try out this genre.
I just finished my #6 book for the Read-a-thon, called Hothouse by Chris Crutcher. It is a really good one for young adults. It is about two teen boys whose fightfighter fathers are both killed while fighting the same fire. This is going to be really popular with the boys in my school who are volunteer firefighters in our community.
