Dierdra McGill (dierdramcgill) | 24 comments Hi! I was wondering if someone could tell me how to add the progress bar on what I am reading? I see others with it but not sure how to add it. :) Thanks!

Of course, if you go to the book you're currently reading and press update status you can add what page you're on.

Char, my bed will always beat Tom! Unless Tom is also in the bed, and then both together would be kapow! XD

And I have to buy a dress tomorrow... this could be fun.

message 406: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Well Tom will always beat my bed! However if Tom ends up in your bed, he's made a wrong turning somewhere! XD ;)

message 407: by Rea, Ghost (new)

Rea | 1992 comments Mod
Ah, but Tom is yours, not mine, so you can understand why he wouldn't beat my comforts! Even Arie doesn't beat lemon kwark. Seriously, that stuff is sex in food form. Mmm!

He made a turning out of the UK! Maybe he came for the weed and the whores and got lost at the airport. I seem to help lots of random people at the airport. They should pay me.

message 408: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) I can indeed. I like how you're willing to admit that (unlike certain OTHER people. I'm not gonna name names (view spoiler)). Haha! Does he know that that's how you feel?

Haha, this is true! Yes probably. If you do find him, point him in my direction! Lol, really? Do you randomly stalk the airport? Is it your new job? :P

message 415: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Lamo I'm glad you love pipi boy. I love him too. XD

Tom will never cease to matter. You haven't seen him drive! He's proper awesome! (That's probably for the best.) (Are you gonna be on MSN tonight? It's just we only did half the months and we're all online lol.)

Dierdra McGill (dierdramcgill) | 24 comments I was wondering how many Adults read books that are Young Adult? Do you enjoy them as much as other books?

Char (CharmaineElaine) Dierdra wrote: "I was wondering how many Adults read books that are Young Adult? Do you enjoy them as much as other books?"

I do but I don't enjoy the majority of them. They frustrate me beyond belief and I always end up wondering why I've bothered. We actually have a debate about YA Lit in our debate section if you want to get involved in that.

That isn't what you told me last night... Poor, poor pipi boy. Then you said I couldn't have him. He feels neglected. He let it all out in his driving! XD

I'm the same as Char. Occasionally I feel the urge to try YA again and usually I just get my fingers burnt again and again. I like Kelley Armstrong's YA but then she did start out writing for adults so maybe that helped. As Char said, try the YA debate, we really got into it there! Someone had a good long rant about Twilight...*cough*

message 422: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) I got distracted by the brumbrums lol. I'm NEVER going to get this review finished tonight. I have to though, there'll be even less chance to do it tomorrow.

I just spent 250€ on a shirt and a pair of trousers. Not even accessorised them yet and I don't have shoes to go with them, so yet more shopping to do. I was considering getting a 300€ jacket with them too but they only had the size above mine and the size below and neither fit properly. :( Shame cuz it was a lovely lovely jacket.

how much is that in Dollars?

message 425: by Rea, Ghost (new)

Rea | 1992 comments Mod
Apparently 250€ is $355. 300€ is $426. Luckily I wasn't paying for it myself else I'd be broke right now!

message 426: by Susan (new)

Susan WOW - Rea I need to introduce you to discount stores! and consignment shops! yikes!
I get some really wonderful things at a shop that's located near a "swanky" part of town and what those people toss?!?!? Some even have tags on them!
Designer labels etc. for $14 etc.

Dierdra McGill (dierdramcgill) | 24 comments This is such a long shot but there was an author I used to love but I cannot for the life of me recall her name!!! I also can't clearly remember the titles of any books! Anyway she was a female author, middle aged I would guess in the 90's or so. I remember reading one book where a woman was dating a AI and I think at first she didn't know it? It has been so long... anyway she wrote so many books most, if not all of them was a love story of sorts. Yeah I know not a lot to go on but anyone have any ideas?

We have those too and that's usually where I shop. But I've got a few gatherings coming up where I'll be mingling with the upperclass so I needed posh clothes for it! lol.

Forgetting names of books I once read and wish I could read again is something that I've found I have a problem with too. :( It's only become evident since I joined this site and couldn't find the names of titles I loved as a child!

I had one about my life in general... I couldn't be bothered to keep updating it. :p It depends on how motivated you feel for it. But it may help others who are going through the same things you went through, if they know where to look for it!

message 448: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Lol, I was thinking that I could update it like every day with different bits and bobs that helped me. That's what I was thinking. I want to help others but I only write and I don't want to write a memoir. I'm not even 21 yet! XD

That depends on how young you consider jailbait to be! A lot of us seem to be in our 20s.

Char, Chateaubriand started writing his Memoires D'Outre Tombe (pretty much, memories from the other side of the grave) very young because he considered his life too important to leave all the details to a failing, aged mind!!
