Yey! I got new shoes! :p What does your coat look like?
(*cough*And a book*cough*)

I like new things!

message 352: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Oooh! Shoes! (Actually, I don't get the shoe thing. None of them fit me.) Are they nice shoes? I'll see if it's on their website so I can post a pic. *heads off to website*

AHA! http://www.dorothyperkins.com/webapp/...

That's a big link lol.

I often have issues with shoes as well as they're usually not quite wide enough, but these ones fit like a charm and I've been needing to replace my boots since my old ones got a hole in the leather and I had to give them to charity. :(

http://www.vanharen.nl/NL/nl/shop/hom...
These are my new shoes - woolly insides seems to be the in-thing right now. Very hard to find covered boots that don't have woolly insides but do have a heel!

Ooh, I like your coat! It's purdyful!

message 354: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) They're always too wide for me so I can't wear many brands (thank God for Converse. Best shoes ever). Awww, your poor old boots. :(

They're actually nice shoes. Seriously, I do like them. I wouldn't wear them though, they just aren't me. Woolly insides? That would've come in handy today, the weather was being very British today.

Thank you! Isn't it though? I fell in love with it and they only had 2 in my size so I made my mum go to the bank for the money. :)

Also I had the BEST DREAM EVER last night. I have been waiting for this dream since forever. I went husky sledding with Tom and pipi boy! XD I'm not joking. I woke up and was like: "YAY! OMG! I HAVE TO TELL EVERYONE!"

Aww, that sucks. We're both in the same boat but at opposite ends of the spectrum! (I like mixing my analogies, shh :P)(I've never had Converse. They just don't look good beyond about size 5.) I know! I was so sad when I had to get rid of them - I'd had them for almost six years and had had them repaired twice by then, but this was just too much.

That's what I was thinking! lol. The weather is so bad that the woolly insides are useful!

I can understand why! I would have done too.

Lol, you actually had a dream about our book's plot?! Too cool!

message 357: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) I know it does. We are! (I won't tell if you don't. :P) (It's lucky I'm a size 4 then! XD) Awww... that's a long time to have a pair of shoes. The longest I've managed is a year and that was my old Converse. It must have been terrible.

Lol, great minds think alike. XD

It's good to know, my mum was like leave it until Thursday.

I did! No one understands how cool it was in my house! They're just there like grow up. I know it is! XD

message 358: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) I've inadvertently nearly set fire to the house. I'm thinking if I can get the smoke out of the house before my mum and brother get home they'll never know.

Susan Char wrote: "I've inadvertently nearly set fire to the house. I'm thinking if I can get the smoke out of the house before my mum and brother get home they'll never know."

put out dinner plates with VINEGAR in them - all over the house - burn LOTS of candles and blow out a couple just as they come in - the smoke from the candles will disquise
sprinkle the carpets / rugs with baking soda - wait about 30-60 min - vac.

open every door and window !!
good luck

message 361: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) I thought I'd got the smell out, there was no smoke, nothing, I'd even shut the cat in the living room and opened everything up.

My mum and brother got home, first thing she said to me was: "What've you burnt?" I was gutted!!!! I was like, there may have been a small fire. Apparently it wasn't my fault. Somebody had forgotten to do something. Woo hoo! Although I doubt I'll ever be allowed to cook unsupervised ever again.

message 362: by Rea, Ghost (new)

Rea | 1992 comments Mod
Lol :p At least it wasn't your fault!

Once, Arie left a bunch of tin foil in the oven. I didn't notice it when I turned the oven on to 220c. When I came back downstairs, the whole of the livingroom was full of smoke! It stank in the room. I had to quickly open all the windows to try to let it out, then call Arie to ask where the smoke alarm is and how to turn it off... The smoke alarm hadn't been installed. A year later? Still not installed!

message 363: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) I know, but the trust is gone. :(

OMG! That's what it was like when I went into the kitchen. I was choking. You really need to install the smoke alarm. I was trying to make sure that ours didn't go off. XD

message 364: by Rea, Ghost (new)

Rea | 1992 comments Mod
For me that's not an issue, of course. Else Arie wouldn't eat. But if I still lived with my parents it might be! Not that he's really eating now.

It's horrible! And it refuses to disperse properly! I had to lock Bruce in and leave all the doors open - in the middle of winter. Brr. We should, maybe I ought to get on Arie's case about it again.

message 365: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Aaah, at least you have positives. I don't. Well I do, I'll never have to cook ever again!!! Yes!!! (What am I on about? I like cooking, if it's a cake.)

I know, which is probably why my mum could smell it. I had to do the same with Misch, the poor cat was well confused, he thought I was taking him out. At least it's a nice day here today. Having the door open wasn't too bad. Yes you should. Tell him you value your life.

message 366: by Rea, Ghost (new)

Rea | 1992 comments Mod
I cook or no one cooks, so it works out! Though I think I'm going to have to swap Weds for Sat or Sun so Arie might actually have to start cooking during the week!! (lol, I really wanna bake some scones right now... but I can't. Must resist.)

Yeah, that wouldn't surprise me. We could smell it here for a couple of days afterwards! Poor kitty, bet he got all hopeful too! That might work as an argument.

message 367: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Aah, I'd refuse to cook at least once a week so he has to. I'd like equality in the kitchen! (Lol, I wanna bake a cake but my bro doesn't want a bday cake. Spoilsport!)

Yeah, it's not a nice smell! I think that makes it worse. He really did. I had to look him in the eye and tell him I couldn't take his carrier out all by myself. It should do.

message 368: by Rea, Ghost (new)

Rea | 1992 comments Mod
I'm home earlier than in during the week so that's why I cook then. He cooks at the weekend (or rings the Chinese take away). When I had afternoon classes he cooked during the week and I cooked at the weekend. So we have it sorted so whoever gets home first makes the meal! Of course, meals atm consist of fried veg and nothing else, but he's going with the flow. (Aww, spoilsport!)

It's one that really whacks you over the head with its presence. It does not allow you to ignore it. Aww, what a disappointment! Bet he was mentalling trying to inform you that you ought to grow better muscles so you can move it outside on your own! Like any good servant.

message 369: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Fair enough, just make sure it's a meal and not a take away at the weekend lol! Awww, that's nice. You've got a lovely routine going on. Of course he is! He doesn't have to cook lol. :P (I know!)

Yes it is. I know, I bet he was but the problem isn't the muscles it's that my arms aren't long enough. I fail as his favourite servant. :P

message 370: by Rea, Ghost (new)

Rea | 1992 comments Mod
He's got strict rules about what he may and may not cook atm. I'm rebooting our diet to cut out as much unnecessary starch as possible. It is a good routine! Luckily we can both cook so there's not too much weighing on only one's shoulders. (Bake one anyway!)

Aaah yes. That does put a spanner in the works. You do! You're a useless favourite servant! :P

message 371: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Aaaah. Fair enough, I really should start a healthier diet. Maybe I will after chicken-gate. Phew! Not everyone can cook in my house. (I can't. No eggs.)

It does. I am! He's well mad at me going around screaming at the moment. XD

After a couple of weeks indulging in the best French cuisine, we've both gained a couple of kilos, so now we need to lose them again! lol. I've changed to the more smaller meals plan. It's working well so far. I've only been hungry once (today) and I think that's because I was up four hours earlier than usual (couldn't sleep) so my meal times have been off. My mum forced us all to learn how to cook. My brother can cook but he lives off pasta à la salt, silly boy.

Lol, did he actually tweet you? :O

message 373: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Probably a good idea lol. Otherwise you'll get used to it and never do it. Ooooh, not bad, small, regular meals. I've not been sleeping too well so I haven't been getting out of bed. That's a good idea. My mum isn't the vbest cook in the world.

YES HE DID!!! WANNA SEE???? XD

message 374: by Rea, Ghost (new)

Rea | 1992 comments Mod
Yeah, I know I have to do it now - as soon as it starts to get dark early, I'll stop wanting to go out. Though I've been very good at doing my workouts (around the bunny). I recommend the small, regular meals, working well for me! Aww dang :( That sucks. I haven't either but it switches between not being able to get to sleep and waking up far too early. I dunno what's set it off but it's damn annoying. My mum cooks random stuff you'll never have seen before. Her carrot looks like it's already been digested once, but we were required to eat it anyway! lol.

Oh wow, check you!!! Lucky girl!

message 375: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) This si true. I'm exactly the same ands it does get so dark so early. Woo! Mischief hates is when I do stuff like that. I may try it, I need to lose a bit of weight, just to make me feel more confident. :( I feel your pain. I have exactly the same thing. When I've not been able to sleep I've been staying up with Tara. I know what's set mine off but there's nothing I can do! :( Hahahaha! Nom. Sounds delish. LOL

I KNOW!!!!!!!

message 376: by Rea, Ghost (new)

It's almost dark here now. :( Boo! But I got Arie roped into going for daily walks, so that's us doing something together that doesn't involve a) food or b) a bed. I'm happy about that as I see very little of him when we're both always behind our PCs in different rooms and he refuses to go out at the weekend. I've lost a 1.5kg since Sunday, so it's certainly working for me! I wanna try to lose a bit more for the same reason as you. I feel bloated atm! And my calf muscles feel dead. At least Tara's been keeping you company! (and me till 2am that one night! lol)

Woo Woo!

message 377: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) (I'm gonna make an effort with caps lock.) Awww, that sucks, I guees it mewans it'll be adark here in an hour then. I know, he can't have everything his oewn way. EWoo!! I'm sure Arie would prefer the bed though! ;P Awww, poor you, you're being neglected by him. Why don't you have your PCs in the same room? Woo! That;s awesome! Yeah me too. Aaaw. I know. (Yeah, you should come on MSN more often. You missed a stunner of a convo just after you'd gone to bed.)

AAAAAAAAAAAH!

(Sorry for the speeling errors lol.)

(Haha, thank you!) It was still light-ish when I posted that last comment. Now it's really dark. It changes fast! No, he cannot, but he tries! Lol, Arie would much prefer it given the choice. Luckily I'm her to veto the choices. I am! Well, I have a desktop there, but he stole my tower, the he stole my house... and he's always watching videos so I can't concentrate. Sometimes I sit in there with him, but only when I'm only pottering about. Yes, I am determined to have my body back before X-mas hits... then X-mas will hit, I'll put on weight again if I'm in France, and then have to lose it again! (I would have been on it this evening, but the PC had to be rebooted and I couldn't be bothered to reload it. The night I explained everything to Tara? lol :p)

Still dancing? :P

message 379: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) (I kind of forgot on the Tom topic. Sorry) Ooooh! I hate the dark! It does and it sucks. I like the summer! He does! He tries really hard! Lool, I thought he might, it really is a good job you're there then, otherwise nothing would get done! I remember the tower thing. Awww, so he's not doing anything super geeky? Yeah, I'm prob not gonna put on as much now that I'm lactose intolerent. (That sucks! You could have seen the screen shot sooner! No I found something in a pic of Tom. :P)

OH YES!!!

I like it just fine when I'm inside and it isn't :p Though I cycle in the dark and everything (and for a while my light was broken so it really was in the dark!). Well, he's get lots of sleep and lots of exercise... but he needs to see the sun too and he wouldn't do that without me. Well, I dunno what he's doing right now. Yesterday he was watching Jerry Springer. That might slow a person down, yeah. Though there's only cheese that I eat at X-mas that would upset a lactose intolerant person. (Oh, how did I survive the wait?!)

message 381: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) I don't like it at all. It scares me. Cycling in the dark. You're so brave! Lol, he does. Everyone needs a bit of sunshine. Hmmmm.... Jerry Springer??? I can't eat too much of any thing with dairy in so I've lost a lot of my favourite foods. (By not believing it was true!)

message 382: by Rea, Ghost (new)

Rea | 1992 comments Mod
Oh, it doesn't scare me, I just prefer daylight. It's the same as cycling in the light, just cars can't see you all the time. :P Cycling in the snow is worse than cycling in the dark. They do! I love the sunshine! I know, that's how I felt about his choice as well. Ah well, I'm the same. But sometimes I do it anyway and suffer the consequences (which, for me, is not being able to breathe properly!)(lol, why not? As good a reason as any!)

message 383: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) True, but I have issues with the night. That's true. Cars need to be more careful sometimes. I can't cycle at all. I do too! It was lovely today. I stood in the doorway while the smoke was vacatibg the building. Haha, there are better things on TV I won't lie. Yeah, I don't like my reaction so I just don't do it. (Aaaah I hate it when I can't breath! Unless it's because I got tweeted by Tom lol. :P) (It is. It's the best. Plus you really didn't believe me. XD)

message 384: by Rea, Ghost (new)

Aye, some people do. I understand. I used to have issues with thunderstorms! They do! I keep to the edge of the road and I always usually have my lights on. It kept changing from lovely and sunny to dull here today, couldn't make its mind up. - least you got some sun! I'm not sure it comes much worse. Good reason to stop! (It bugs me, but I'm used to it. Lol, happy Char!)(I thought you were winding up Tara again! :P)

message 385: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) They do, but mine are probably different. I don't like storms either. Good. Put your lights on always! I don't want anything happening to you. You're my random chat buddy!!! And I love you!!! I hate it when the weather doesn't know what it's doing. I did. It was awesome. A rarity in Wales. :P I don't either. It is indeed. (Lol, indeed I am! I couldn't be happier if I tried!) (Lol, no, Tara was the first person I showed!!!! She was meant to be walking the dog but she saw it lol. :P)

message 386: by Rea, Ghost (new)

Rea | 1992 comments Mod
Yes, you certainly have a reason to dislike the dark. I didn't like storms when I first moved to France and they changed from being interesting phenomena to downright scary shit (Alpine storms can be impressive). I always put them on when they work. They're the old lights, powered by the wheel turning, and sometimes they stop working for no apparent reason. -_- I'd better check them before winter hits in case they need replacing. Aww, I love you too! Yeah it was frustrating, but at least you had a nice day in Wales! (You could be if he appeared on your door! ;))(Haha, poor dog lost out on its walk then?)

message 387: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Gah! My mum wants to move to France after watching the Tour. I'm not sure I'd get the BTCC there though. I'd be hiding under the bed, literallt. (I bet they can.) Aaah, I think you need a better bike light. Yay! Lol! I know, it's always nice on my bro's bday. I get snow. (That's true! Can you imagine that? I think Tara would kill me I'd be that happy!) (Oh no, the dog got took on a walk while I "calmed down". I'm not sure if that's happened tohuogh.)

Which part of France does she fancy? :P I dunno, I don't watch sports there so I couldn't say. First one, my bro and I hid together with the dog. :p I do. It's fine when it works but it's all full of wires and fiddly and breaks! Lucky bro. I get a mix of sun or rain depending on the year (sun this year).(I don't think you'd care about Tara's reaction anymore you'd be that happy! lol)(Aaah, can't blame her for trying!)

message 389: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) I have no idea lol. :P Lol, I doubt it becasue it's British. I'd have done that with the cat but the cat would've got grumpy at sharing his hiding place lol. :P Awww... I hate fiddly things. Just get a new one lol. I know. At least you sometimes get the sun. I never get it. I guess it's cause my bday's in Jan. (I wouldn't she's getting a bit annoyed with me now though. I keep showing off my screenshot lol.) (I know. She's now watching Torchwood and trying to ignore me! XD)

:p Not Paris. Probably not, no. I hadn't heard of it before. But then, as mentioned, I don't do sports on TV. Lol, the dog actually came to us! She preferred being with the safety of the pack whenever there was a storm in France. Yeah, I'm late April so I've got a 50-50 chance. (lol, you're all proud of it!!)(Haha, trying but failing?)

message 391: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) Lol, I'll talk her out of Paris. I heard of it by accident. The best day of channel hopping EVER. This is true, I was like you before then. Lol, awwww poor dog! Fair enough, she has her priorities straight. See, I like my bday being in Jan but I hate it as well. You do! I wanna 50-50 chance between something that isn't snow and rain lol. (Lol I am. Oh God! You're never gonna hear the end of this! I'm gonna apologise now!) (Yes indeed. Well I am hard to ignore.)

Paris is too international anyway. Oh man, I wanna be back in France again!!! You have more of an interest in brumbrums than I do anyway, so I can imagine you rather appreciate that find!! She definitely did! Pepper just ignores them - we're not worried, she's not worried. See, that's why I'm glad I'm an April babe! At least there's a chance! lol. (Haha, I wasn't expecting to!)(Are you? I'm going to ignore you now to prove you wrong... ignore you allllllll night long! Cuz my bed is more interesting than Tom! A-ha-ha! :p)

message 393: by Char (new)

Char (CharmaineElaine) It is? I wanna go there one day, not to live. Just for a weekend. Is France that good?!?!?! I do, I love the brumbrums!!! Gonna do my nails for them tomorrow! Pepper is a brave doggy - and very chilled lol. Yep, no days out on my bday. There's always a chance! :P (Yay!!! I'm literally never gonna stop now!!!) (Noooo! Don't do it! I'm adorable and funny! Technically you aren't ignoring me if you've gone to bed and you told me that you're going to bed. Tom is the most interesting thing in the world! LAMO! :P)

Char (CharmaineElaine) France does look so beautiful. I asked my mum which part she wanted to live in and she said "the countryside". You're biased, mind you I never say a bad thing about Colwyn Bay for the same reason. It's my home and I love it. :) Yes they will be. If I do as good a job on them this week as I did last I'll post pics. (They were perfect last week, even my left hand! :O) Awwww, don't say that! Mind you everyone's scared of someone. Mischief detests strange men. We don't have a car lol! So we'd have to walk... and get soaked. (It hasn't lost its Oooomph yet BTW. I'm still all "Tom tweeted me!!!" You will allow my excitement because after all it IS Tom Onslow-Cole!!! lol.) (Wooo! I had an awful night's sleep.
