Just finished the audio too!
Just started both Eonain print and Clockwork Angel as an audiobook. I'm also nibbling on several non-YA non-fiction books that are going very slowly.

I loved Starters!
I'm reading
Soooooo good!
Wrapping up
today. I don't think I'm going to be rating this one very high. It's readable. I keep turning the pages. The characters are okay...but like so many things I read...it's just...missing something. Depth? Originality? My biggest pet peeve is the same that I had with The Hunger Games...a cliched love triangle for the female protagonist that is (at best) secondary to the actual story and seems to just be there for female readers. (Sorry if that seems gender-biased...but it's probably true. I've never ever chimed in on a book that I'm on "team so-and-so".)I've learned that if it's over-hyped, it's generally going to fall short for me.
I'm finding myself falling out of my intense re-discovery of YA. I've been immersed in the genre for about two solid years now. But I'm needing something more mentally stimulating. The 5th Wave certainly wasn't it for me. (Unless something mind-bendingly stupendous happens in the last 5%)

That one has been circling a lot lately and has been pretty hyped up. I definitely understand your comments about depth, though. I still love the YA genre, but I have become intensely picky and choosey about what I give my time to. Like, I haven't read
and I don't plan to because from what people have said, it sounds like drivel to me. But it was super popular. It seems like popular YA books are just as likely to be garbage as much as they are likely to be amazing.

because I'm a sucker for re-tellings and Peter Pan both."That sounds interesting
I am reading Libba Bray's, "Going Bovine".It's a pleasant surprise because I enjoyed her Gemma Doyle Series but this is so different. There are no sweet young Victorian ladies, and mysterious secrets. Going Bovine is laugh out loud funny and has a sarcastic male protagonist. I'm enjoying it very much.
I'm reading Raven Flight by Juliet Marillier. It's a follow-up to Shadowfell, which I loved! If you've never read anything by her, I highly recommend her. I've read all her books and they're AMAZING!

I wasn't very wowed with Shadowfell, not in comparison to her other works, but I still like anything written by her.
Just past the halfway point in Beth Wiseman's Daughter of the Promise series. I want to be one of the Daughters...probably like Carley. :)
I'm reading currently Inkspell by Cornelia Funke.Lisa wrote: "Percy Jackson and the Olympians are fabulous.
Has anyone read or heard anything of "The Last Apprentice" books by Joseph Delaney?"
I love The Last Apprentice series by Joseph Delaney. I think it's a great series.

Just finished "What Happened To Goodbye" by Sarah Dessen today, amazing! I'm also starting on "In Cold Blood" by Truman Capote.

I just finished...
and
The Chocolate War was brilliant. Even though it was written in 1973 it is still quite powerful and the themes involved are timeless. Uncommon Criminals is a fun read. I like this series better than Carter's other series. But the writing in both are very well done. Now reading...
