☼Bookish in Virginia☼ (ren_t) Just finished Rotters and Partials. Next up is Starters.

Rotters was entirely not what I was expecting. No zombies whatsoever. Liked the book. Partials was fun, but not knock your socks off good.

Rotters by Daniel Kraus Partials (Partials, #1) by Dan Wells Starters (Starters, #1) by Lissa Price

Anyone else doing the read-a-thon today? I have read The Jester by James Patterson , Carrie by Stephen King , Wings (Wings, #1) by Aprilynne Pike (not a fan), Attachments by Rainbow Rowell , and Storm Front (The Dresden Files, #1) by Jim Butcher . I might be done...especially since the cheerleaders have been absent

Yvonne Am reading Divergent by Veronica Roth as a way to cure the Hunger Games withdrawal I had last weekend. It has a good solid story in my opinion, although not as fast paced as the first and second hunger games.

Anyone has any other suggestions for a good YA fiction?

I like the cover, but if I saw it in a book store, I would assume it was a light, happy book. This is not the case. This book is not light and not always happy, although there are happy moments. I don't understand the choice behind this cover, but the book is wonderful so it's hard to care.

The writing is amazing. Mafi really uses it effectively to give Juliette an 'alien' feel.

Is the second one out? I liked the first one but did not "love" it. Since Chaos Walking I have not "loved" a dystopian novel. It ruined me for all others or something.

Caryn (carynreads) I work at Barnes & Noble, and during our morning meeting, one of the booksellers mentioned the popularity of 50 Shades of Grey. Apparently, people have been attending events for Between Shades of Gray under the assumption that it was for the other book. Awkward!

I actually saw this at my library. I thought it looked kind of literary, like a Jonathan Saffron Foer.
