I hope you love it as much as I did! I just finished . I didn't like it as much as the first book, but I still enjoyed it. I love the author's sense of humor. And I loved the ending. I'm starting right now and I'm so excited :D

Started and within 2% (putting this behind spoiler tag even tho at 2% I don't think it counts) (view spoiler)[ the main character has a doll head where her hand should be. Somehow it melted together during the denotation when she was 7. This mental image freaks me out. Haven't picked book back up since. Anyone else read this galley? Will I be able to get past the hand? Is it explained in a way that is somewhat scientific? HELP! (hide spoiler)]

If you've read it I could use your advice.

It seems like angsty teenagers try to make art with doll heads and I find it kinda like "look at me I'm troubled" or something. Plus hands should not blink at you. Does the fusion at least make some scientific sense? Because that was my other concern. My brain started arguing that it was logical almost immediately. Ahh, I am not much into paranormal. But the best thing about the book I felt was its writing style. I loved it.

I just finished it and I have to say I really enjoyed it. There's a lot going on, and it may seem jumbled as you begin to read it, but it all comes together and makes sense by the end. It's a bit of a mystery and I had fun trying to piece the clues together as I read. I'd definitely recommend it.

I am just about to start part 7 out of 10 parts on the audio and it is weird so far. As you know Melodie I am not into paranormal YA books so it will take a lot to win me over. We shall see! It is def. better than books I quit like Mortal Instruments so far so I am hoping it wins me over.

For me I think the real world setting or Prague is part of why DOSB worked for me, as well as the artsy main character.

Yeah..I am not all that into artsy characters like you Cassi. That is one of the reason I was not as into Lola and the Boy Next Door as much as Anna (still liked it though). But then again I am far from artsy in real life so it is natural to be drawn to characters you can relate to.

There's a line for me with artsy characters. There's just enough (Karou falls into this) then there's trying too hard. I love just enough and get really annoyed with trying to hard very fast (a little too hipster for me). I suppose I am a tad artsy so that makes sense.
