Can you get a pre-paid credit card Desiree? Then you could use it on Amazon.

Desiree wrote: "What was The Adoration of Jenna Fox like? It sounds interesting!"It was interesting. The story creates an engaging ethical debate without being too heavy-handed. Like any good sci-fi, it has the reader thinking about the path we're on as a society, and what that will mean in the future. It is also the story of a lost girl trying to make a place for herself and not being sure how to. Which is a common theme in YA books.
Shadowfever started it again, though I feel a little sorry for it following Graffiti Moon and Iron Knight.
I've just started reading Thirst No. 1: The Last Vampire, Black Blood, Red Dice by Christopher Pike.

I wasn't able to read anything after finishing that one."She's just so dang emo & angry at the beginning that I kinda want to give her some prozac and a smiley face sticker. I think the long gap from Mac allowed me to forget how angry she was lol but I'll get back in the vibe of it quickly.
Too damned many books, that's what. :PJust started
last night after seeing all the talk about it. I'm in the middle of so many books now, what's one more?Soon I will get to
and
.Sigh.
Matthew Quick's Sorta Like a Rockstar has to be one of the very best YA novels I've in a LONG time. It's funny, clean, gutt-wrenchingly sad, and very believable. I plan to make mention of this story in my lesson plans throughout this school year and it will be the first book I recommend to students and colleagues when they return to school this week.

LOL! She was angry, but I suppose I can see why. It was just such a wild ride. And, well I just friggin love Barrons.

After the "incident" happens it really picks up.
Wait, I don't think I finished that book. Did I? Ohhh, I didn't because it was a shorter ILL loan that I didn't realize. Hmmm, I'll have to request it again. On another note, I'm really liking Graffiti Moon!

p.s. I told you not to give up on Sorta Like a Rockstar. It really does get better and I like that there are no other books really like it out there. That is a rare find in the book world these days.

At the moment I'm reading the second book of the trilogie by Trudi Canavan - the black magician
and I'll start with

I actually really liked it. I thought it was a YA book so I was a little suprised to find out that it was adult fiction, but the story was sort of unique compared to what I've read lately. I think it was only 99 cents for the kindle, and for that price you should definitely give it a try!
So, I stayed up late last night to finish
. I am in love with this book (& Marcello)! It's like a YA version of Outlander but with medieval Italian knights! Has anybody else read this?

I'm currently reading
and O.M.G....it is def not YA, it is adult - college aged and steamy as hell! Thanx to my friend Maria who loaned it me on the Kindle!
Wendy F wrote: "Humph! It's not free when I look. Too bad, because that looks really good."I linked it as a freebie in our other group's freebie topic, haha.

I don't know how I missed it. That looks really good. I'm bumming.
I think I have Demon King on my Kindle.
I keep getting pushed to read it. It's supposed to be one of the better YA fantasy series out right now. So far it's reading like a more strict epic fantasy (not like pnr), which is nice, but I am only 3 chapters in so it's too soon to tell.

I hope you enjoy them :)
