Young Adult Fiction for Adults discussion
What are you reading now?
Started
. Even though I have other books on my Kindle that are suppose to be "next" this one felt right. The first
was fun and the right kind of fluffy so here I am.(I am also happy they finally released it on Kindle. My goodness it took a few months then suddenly it was there with no announcements or anything)
I finished
last night, which was excellent. I also finished
, which was...not.Undecided about what to read next. Lately I just go with whatever strikes me when I settle down at night.
I'm not reading anything right now...I need to get to the library to get a copy of
that's on hold. I have
but I don't feel like reading it right now. My mom gave me a bunch of Christina Dodd novels to read and The Uglies series, but ugh, I don't want to start a series. I'm going to go pick up
tomorrow to start, then
comes out on tuesday, so that's next on my list.
I'm restless in reading so decided to just start
anyway, since I enjoy the time period and subject matter.
I haven't been reading much lately, I haven't been in the mood. But I'm beginning to read
and I'm trying to get my way through

Yay Kristina! And yum. You'll see what I mean. ;)Reading
, which is totally bizarre and gross and good.
I love Warm Bodies, Wendy F. It's so different from what I expected, and it's funny and sweet and sad all at the same time. (In addition to the things I said above, hah.)I can't wait to hear what you think of FEED! Try not to read any spoiler-y reviews.
Im trying to avoid spoilers as much as I can. It's had pretty good reviews. I seriously can't wait to read Warm Bodies. I was sold when I read Maggie Stiefvaters review.
You know what's funny, WF--Shiver is one of my all time favorite books, and I got an ARC of Maggie Stiefvater's The Scorpio Races this afternoon. But I am so into WARM BODIES, I am totally finishing it before I move on. That's how good it is. :)
I'm so excited for The Scorpio Races and Forever. Stiefvater writing is so pretty. Her blog is also one of my favorites.I'll have to get it this weekend.

I am reading Artemis Fowl, The Atlantis Complex. When I am done with this book I will go on to Dandelion Fire, which is book 2 of 100 Cupboards series.

Julie--as far as I can tell,
is about killer water horses. I'm reading it tonight. :)Kristina, Warm Bodies is really good if you can accept the unlikely scenario. It's extremely well-written and touching.
Wendy Darling wrote: "I can't wait to hear what you think of FEED! ..."I'll be starting Feed tonight as well. I expect to hear your thoughts in the conversation with Wendy F and I, or you'll be getting cold pancakes from now on.
I feel so bad that I had to put
on hold, but I'll go right back to it after I'm done with Feed.

I hope you two enjoy it. It always makes me a little nervous to recommend something so different.
Yay Hathaways. Can't wait til you get to my favorite scene near the end of the book Wendy (F).I eat my pancakes cold with butter and sugar on them sometimes. That's probably gross to others.
Finished
. These books are so cute. Now to decide how brave I am (*cough*Catiethisisyourfault*cought*)

This was my 3rd Melina book. I did read Jellicoe Road, and Finnikin. I'm happy to hear that Saving Francesca is good too because I put it on hold at my library. Hopefully I'll get it soon!

I hope I have it on my Kindle. Regina lent me her ecopy of Mine til Midnight, and I can't remember if I got my hands on a copy of the next book. This is the Merripen one, right?
Just finished
and it was great. It isn't YA but it has a fantastic 13-year-old hero. I highly recommend it. Starting
