I loved Fallen (Fallen, #1) by Lauren Kate & Torment (Fallen, #2) by Lauren Kate too! Really enjoyed Passion (Fallen, #3) by Lauren Kate ... And I just saw on TV the other night that The Nine Lives of Chloe King (The Fallen; The Stolen; The Chosen) by Liz Braswell is a new television series. Looked pretty interesting ;)

amy (asmith519yahoocom) | 80 comments Just finished Carpe Demon (Kate Connor - Demon Hunter, #1) by Julie Kenner fun story. Think I'll go with The Iron Thorn (Iron Codex, #1) by Caitlin Kittredge next.

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments Started The Royal Treatment (Princess for Hire, #2) by Lindsey Leavitt . Even though I have other books on my Kindle that are suppose to be "next" this one felt right. The first Princess for Hire by Lindsey Leavitt was fun and the right kind of fluffy so here I am.

(I am also happy they finally released it on Kindle. My goodness it took a few months then suddenly it was there with no announcements or anything)

message 9654: by Wendy Darling (new)

Wendy Darling (wendydarling) | 193 comments I finished Brooklyn, Burning by Steve Brezenoff last night, which was excellent. I also finished Fury (Fury, #1) by Elizabeth Miles , which was...not.

Undecided about what to read next. Lately I just go with whatever strikes me when I settle down at night.

Amanda (peanutty222) | 529 comments I'm not reading anything right now...I need to get to the library to get a copy of Friends for Life (An Avon/Flare Book) by Ellen Emerson White that's on hold. I have Enclave (Razorland, #1) by Ann Aguirre but I don't feel like reading it right now. My mom gave me a bunch of Christina Dodd novels to read and The Uglies series, but ugh, I don't want to start a series. I'm going to go pick up Everdark (The Dark Ink Chronicles, #2) by Elle Jasper tomorrow to start, then Smokin' Seventeen (Stephanie Plum, #17) by Janet Evanovich comes out on tuesday, so that's next on my list.

message 9656: by Lloyd (new)

Lloyd | 415 comments I'm restless in reading so decided to just start Young Samurai The Ring of Earth (Young Samurai, #4) by Chris Bradford anyway, since I enjoy the time period and subject matter.

I'm starting Feed tomorrow.

message 9669: by Wendy Darling (new)

Wendy Darling (wendydarling) | 193 comments I love Warm Bodies, Wendy F. It's so different from what I expected, and it's funny and sweet and sad all at the same time. (In addition to the things I said above, hah.)

I can't wait to hear what you think of FEED! Try not to read any spoiler-y reviews.

message 9670: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) Im trying to avoid spoilers as much as I can. It's had pretty good reviews.

I seriously can't wait to read Warm Bodies. I was sold when I read Maggie Stiefvaters review.

message 9671: by Wendy Darling (new)

Wendy Darling (wendydarling) | 193 comments You know what's funny, WF--Shiver is one of my all time favorite books, and I got an ARC of Maggie Stiefvater's The Scorpio Races this afternoon. But I am so into WARM BODIES, I am totally finishing it before I move on. That's how good it is. :)

Wendy Darling (wendydarling) | 193 comments Julie--as far as I can tell, The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater is about killer water horses. I'm reading it tonight. :)

Kristina, Warm Bodies is really good if you can accept the unlikely scenario. It's extremely well-written and touching.

I'll be starting Feed tonight as well. I expect to hear your thoughts in the conversation with Wendy F and I, or you'll be getting cold pancakes from now on.

I feel so bad that I had to put Hold Me Closer, Necromancer by Lish McBride on hold, but I'll go right back to it after I'm done with Feed.

message 9682: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) After Feed I think I'll read Queen of the Dead. Then my plan is to read Seduce Me at Sunrise.

Oh, you know I can't stop myself from hovering over people who read the zombie books I like. :) (Although I actually don't mind cold pancakes, go figure!) I hope you two enjoy it. It always makes me a little nervous to recommend something so different.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Yay Hathaways. Can't wait til you get to my favorite scene near the end of the book Wendy (F).

I eat my pancakes cold with butter and sugar on them sometimes. That's probably gross to others.

message 9685: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (peanutty222) | 529 comments The only way I eat pancakes is with peanut butter and syrup. Mmmmmmmm......

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Wendy F wrote: "This is the Merripen one, right? ..."

Yes. I know this one is a lot of people's favorite and it was still very good, but my favorite was Poppy's book. She surprised me by being a lot more independent and stubborn than I originally suspected.
