It is worth the read. Don't say I didn't warn your about the insane part though!

Trish Jones | 2 comments Finished reading The Survivors by Amanda Havard and greatly enjoyed it. The book was very addicting, and I cannot wait for book 2. Enjoy!

He seems to be able to produce them quickly, which is awesome! I am sad I only have one more Percy Jackson to read, however. I got very attached, out of nowhere..

Wendy Darling (wendydarling) | 193 comments Wow @Lauren @Arphaxad, Impossible looks really good--thanks! Adding to my teetering pile.

I am reading Sixteenth Summer and it's SO cute! Contemporary YA romance isn't usually my thing, but I'm so glad I picked this one up. Sun and sand and kissing and ice cream...just the perfect beach read.

Sixteenth Summer by Michelle Dalton

Megan | 17 comments I'm currently reading A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks

message 8706: by Daria (new)

Daria (dariadeptula) Finished Song of the Sparrow by Lisa Ann Sandell and now I'm reading Drums, Girls & Dangerous Pie by Jordan Sonnenblick for my book club.

amy (asmith519yahoocom) | 80 comments just got Wildwood Dancing (Wildwood, #1) by Juliet Marillier from the library.

message 8708: by Shelia (last edited May 17, 2011 04:37PM) (new)

Shelia (strawberrypanic-ouran-furuba) Finished reading Pucker by Melanie Gideon , it was good. Now I'm reading Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins , hope it lives up to the hype!

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments So I'm listening to The Body at the Tower (The Agency, #2) by Y.S. Lee but I really don't like the narrator BUT I really want to read the book. I'm currently reading 2 books (one kindle, one library) so adding a 3rd might be a little extreme.

I'll probably keep listening because I liked the first one (read in book form) so much. But ugh...the narrator does not do it for me.

message 8710: by Peep (Pop! Pop!) (last edited May 17, 2011 05:57PM) (new)

Peep (Pop! Pop!) I'm really liking Some Girls Are by Courtney Summers right now. Girls can be so cruel. What is wrong with us?

Picked up The Red Umbrella by Christina Gonzalez The Boyfriend List 15 Guys, 11 Shrink Appointments, 4 Ceramic Frogs and Me, Ruby Oliver (Ruby Oliver, #1) by E. Lockhart and The Raging Quiet by Sherryl Jordan . And 6 more books requested from ILL, hopefully they'll come soon.

message 8711: by Heidi (new)

Heidi We should be reading Raging Quiet around the same time Peep - I have my copy at home too. Hope you like Ruby :)

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments That's on my TBR list but I don't know when I'm getting to it. Busy week at work this week. Looking forward to your reviews unless I catch up miraculously.

message 8713: by Becca (new)

Becca | 1608 comments Raging Quiet was fabulous. I was surprised by how much I liked it, and the romance didn't even figure prominently in my thoughts about it. Just a great story overall.

message 8714: by Julie (new)

Julie I just finished Hex Hall (Hex Hall, #1) by Rachel Hawkins . I really, really enjoyed it. It was not what I was expecting at all. I had been hesitant to read it at first because I thought it might've been a little too young but I can't wait to read Demonglass.

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments You guys are making me want to move Raging Quiet up on my TBR list BUT I have to read my 3 library books first.

And YAY for all the Hex Hall love. It's one of my favorites!

Yay Julie! So glad you liked Hex Hall. Demonglass is just as fun, too, so you're in for a treat. :)

message 8717: by Daria (new)

Daria (dariadeptula) Finished Drums, Girls & Dangerous Pie by Jordan Sonnenblick . It was a little too emotional for my taste, but still good.

I should be reading it before this weekend so I will let you know if you should bump it up (if my opinion matters, which my name clearly indicates it does NOT).

message 8719: by Peep (Pop! Pop!) (new)

Peep (Pop! Pop!) Hmm, maybe I'll read that next and then Divergent. Then I'll (loudly) tell everyone what I thought about. That sounds like a plan.

message 8720: by Bethany (new)

Bethany (b_shively) I'm starting Hex Hall (Hex Hall, #1) by Rachel Hawkins So excited!!

message 8721: by Brandie (new)

Brandie Sump Hey Lloyd,

As I see that you have read the Wimpy Kid Series up until book 5, I was just wondering if you are planning to continue on by reading book 5? And I would like to know any thoughts you had on the series and what you thought about book 5 after you have read it.

Thanks!

message 8722: by Arphaxad (new)

Arphaxad | 335 comments Can't wait to see what you guys think of The Raging Quiet. I was convinced I would hate it. Glad it proved me wrong! :)

I finished the last book a few days ago but haven't posted a review yet. I liked it. Not as funny as the first few books. He's still the same Greg Hefley (sp?) but not as bad as he was in Dog Days. I laughed out loud a few times, enough that my husband noticed.

I love that writer - while the plot wasn't too original I just loved her humor. Demonglass is just as good if not better IMO.

Monique (moniqueurbanisedgeek) I just finished Abandon (Abandon Trilogy #1) by Meg Cabot and hated it. I felt Meg Cabot really lost the plot with this one.

Reading Paranormalcy (Paranormalcy, #1) by Kiersten White and liking it.

Thanks to you all, when I saw a copy of Jellicoe Road at a 2nd hand bookstore I snapped it up. Pretty excited for it.

message 8738: by Daria (new)

Daria (dariadeptula) Finished Drums, Girls & Dangerous Pie by Jordan Sonnenblick . Now I'm reading Leviathan (Leviathan, #1) by Scott Westerfeld as a break from all the contemporary novels I've been reading.

Enjoy Leviathan Emily. I thought it was brilliant. Really liked it and like Steampunk now because of it.

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments I loved Leviathan (Leviathan, #1) by Scott Westerfeld . It was just such a unique book. Can it be...September/August/Whenever the next book comes out already PLEASE.

PS I kept plugging through with The Body at the Tower (The Agency, #2) by Y.S. Lee and even though the narrator is not one of my favorites, I did get used to her. Enjoying the book, wishing that somehow Katherine Kellegran had narrated them instead (she would narrate almost everything if it were up to me!)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Behemoth, the follow up to Leviathan is out already. Unless you mean book 3?

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments Stacia ~ candy girl wrote: "Behemoth, the follow up to Leviathan is out already. Unless you mean book 3?"

Book 3 is what I mean. Goliath (Leviathan, #3) by Scott Westerfeld comes out this Fall & I could not be readier for the conclusion to this series! Though I will be sad that its over.

I got a lot of laughs from that series so far. I keep getting distracted and forgot about the new book. I'll definitely let you know what I think when I get to it. Right now, I'm finding myself immersed in The Astonishing Adventures of Fanboy and Goth Girl by Barry Lyga .

Thanks for the reminder though!

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments Lloyd did you ever finish reading Bloody Jack Being an Account of the Curious Adventures of Mary "Jacky" Faber, Ship's Boy (Bloody Jack, #1) by L.A. Meyer ? I may have missed it, my brain does go on vacation at time.

Just curious as to the boys perspective.

Not yet. I found myself reading too damned many books and put that on the back burner. Soon! (Hmm...where have I said that before?)
