Young Adult Fiction for Adults discussion
What are you reading now?
alright, guess the press in austria haven't gotten it up. I've heard it just hear and now I'm extremly pissed, cause I started this book. And I only begun to read it cause alex pettyfer plays the main character in the movie - and I got to him, cause I'm in love with the Mortal Instruments, in which he'll maybe play also the main characters. uf,... and I only thought of spending some quality time with reading, and now this. and I understand your position, thats mean how this buisniss did happen whith this "book" :(
I didn't know it was a screenplay first, I only knew that one of the authors had a shady history (James Frey). I had issues with the book too that's why I chose to watch it instead. The cast, particularly Alex Pettyfer and Teresa Palmer were really good in it, not to mention the special effects towards the end, plus it being produced by Michael Bay too. It's quite sad to be hearing news of this.
Well, I finished up
on the bus ride home last night. Now I'm going to concentrate on
. I see what everyone means by being confused a bit. Still haven't hit that moment of revelation yet.

Oh, love the Goose Girl!

I am in the middle of Eyes Like Stars now and I see what some of you were saying about it being all over the place sometimes, but other than that I really like it.
It's different and I will definitley be reading the sequel.

You are missing nothing. I know some people like it, but I thought it was one of THE worst books I've read in the last 5 years.

Currently reading the follow-up to The Name of the Wind... which is Wise Man's Fear
not ya, but very very good

I'm reading a non YA book called
, I got it from Netgalley. I'm trying my best to read one book that isn't a netgalley related book and one that is netgalley related. I really shouldn't request so many books at a time, it gets overwhelming quickly lol.I finished Reading Lips, and now I'm going to read
.

So the movie ends at the halfway point of the book. The Juliette Binoche and Ralph Fiennes version is pretty good and includes the entire book.
How are you liking the book so far?

It is so terrible it should come with a warning. Whoever was giving it 5 stars must have been paid to do so.

I feel soooooooo supported. :)
I'm finishing The Amaranth Enchantment today, and then I'll be reading Valiant. And I've been reading The Yearling and Magyk for a whiiile, but they always get pushed aside by library books.
I'm a little more than halfway through Intertwined by Gena Showalter
and so far its pretty good. I'll probably be reading the next one when it comes in at the library.

She is fantastic and I completely understand why you love her, but I can't say that I have a girl crush on her too. My heart still belongs to Jonah Griggs.
However, I will say that I might be looking up other books that she has narrated, because she is just that good. No question.
Um okay I think I need to know more about this girl! Erm...narrator! Seriously always on the look out for good audiobooks. Has she done anything else I should know about?

I don't even know her name... I haven't gotten that far yet. But yes, you should check out her narrating ability. She's quite good.
Going to try
but it sounds a lot like Warped and I just read that one not to long ago so if it is to much like it I might not make it though..can't stand reading books that have to closely related stories back to back. :(

Thanks Shannen! I will check it out.Jenn: I really like it. Another YA series that I loved was
. It is about 4 girls at a school in England in the 1800s and it is creepy/spooky (which I loved).
is also about some kids at a school/group home but in New York and has the creepy factor to it too. I was scared to go to the bathroom last night. It spooked me.

Still reading away on

Heidi I wrote: "Lloyd! You are just at the good part. p.s.don't come back here unless you love it. jk :) hahaha"
I know - the pressure is high to only LOVE Melina Marchetta. Maybe because I'm a guy and not all that "oooh....I want a Jonah Griggs!" :P
Hahaha! Even though you are a guy you can still have a man crush on Jonah! It is ok. We won't tell your wife.

On another note, I wish we had the ability to 'like' a thread post, lol. Sometimes as I read I love what someone says but I don't want to comment on each one. If I could I would have 'liked' posts 7631 and 7633, hahaha.
