What Color Are Your Fingernails?
Aynge, I've found that because they dry so quickly, matte polishes are awesome for winter pedicures. Orly Purple Velvet, Zoya Harlow and Zoya Posh are my winter go-tos for toes.I just removed last week's manicure of China Glaze BFF and am trying to decide on this week's color. Suggestions will be appreciated!
I adore the look of matte Jammies, but they chip like crazy!! So I no longer buy matte polish. I discovered matte top coat which I use instead. No shine, no chips.
my hands are always a disaster, but I recently splurged on a pedicure/foot massage. My toenails are OPI's Russian Navy. :)
Aynge, the Orly matte polishes don't seem to chip quite so much on my toes. They last about a week even with three hour-long sessions in chlorinated water, so I do recommend them. I still have nekkid fingernails because I am so spoiled for choice I can't make up my damn mind.
I have enough nail polish to paint my house, inside and out. When I can't choose - which is rare - I abstain until I do. Occasionally I go for months bare but I always come back to nail polish. It's my only real vice. But I never get manicures of pedis. I always do it myself.
the nails on my left hand are now a dark red (catrice - caught on the red carpet) and the nails on my right hand are still bare. if i just paint the nails on my left hand the polish won't chip as fast.
Is you left hand your dominant hand? I learned that if you paint the nails on your dominant hand first, you won't get as many smudges. Which turned out to be true.
Thanks for the pictures Heidi! I love nail spam!Today my nails are painted Maybelline's Denim Dash with white stars Konaded onto them. If I knew how to post a picture I would.

I love rosy future it's one of my favourites.

I don't do manicures, but i do a pedicure/foot massage about every 5 to 6 weeks. Right now they are neon green with smiley faces on my big toes in red & black. I'm thinking bright yellow next time.
I did mine pink with white and silver hearts for Valentines day... but I made the mistake of using Seche Vite top coat and it shrank my polish! So I removed it and now have Sally Hansen's Teal Takeoff (it matches my homemade teal ring).
i got my nails done on the weekend. my nails are a nice dark blue color with silver flowers and stuff. and then my toe nails are the same.
Heidi, how about a different Loden green? Zoya has a special offer--three green polishes for $5! http://www.zoya.com/content/38/catego...

Heidi, how do I send you a PM when your profile is private?
::sigh:: My daughter has discovered shatter nail polish. It was only a matter of time. It does look cute.
Mine are naked at the moment but the minute the cast on left hand comes off so I can paint my right hand they will be some beautiful dark red or purple OPI colour :D

I sell DIY Ruby's Claws Kits. But it would be rude to plug them here :)

Haha, I can usually do them myself - but not when one hand's unable to grip the brush :(
Plus that colour would match the cast and I don't have it - or the shatter effect - and it'd be a great reason for why I need a holiday down under ;D
You paint one colour. Let it dry, then paint the next colour over the top. Don't use the OPI or BYS ones - the cheaper ones crackle better. Wait till they've shattered as much as you want them to, then use a clear top coat. I have a Tips Sheet for doing nails quick and easy & getting the effect you want. I'm far too lazy to spend much time on them. DM me if you'd like a copy :)There are also pens with a superfine tip if you want to draw the effect, but that takes much longer.
Very pretty, Ruby! I'm giving my nails a week off, but last weekend they were a gorgeous autumn orange (CND Just Red + CND Copper Shimmer for the nail geeks).
Mine are bare naked at the moment, waiting for my daughter to do her thing. I usually do my own, but I want designs and she's so damn good she has a clientel. No shit!! She swiped three stripes of color across her nails then she crackled them. Looked awesome.

Usually I paint my toenails too but lately it's been too cold to remove my socks for more than a couple of minutes at a time.
