I just removed my deep blue magnetized nail polish in preparation for a morning of swatching tomorrow.

that's the only bright red that I have. I'll paint them in the morning.

I need to paint my toes and fingernails, but I can't decide which color, either. I have just about every color imaginable and I just bought some crackle polish. I actually bought 2 crackle polishes but one of them disappeared between the store and home. $6 down the drain. Yeah, I know......cheap polish, but still.

Maybe it's hiding in the car?
My nails are a dark reddish purple with lighter waves (magnetized polish).

Laurin, sorry about the hole in your polish. :(
I keep thinking I'll do the newsprint manicure, but I haven't gotten caught up on my swatching yet!

Finger Paints - Hue Rang? and OPI - Rainbow Connection."
That's really cute. I bet it's a bitch to remove though; glitter always is.

I'm really hard on my hands, so it usually chips off. Then I just pick at it with a safety pin, which I know isn't good.
But when I do remove it, it's a pain in the ass.

Heidi, you are making me blush--thank you! And that's one of my favorite Mom stories too.

I have on the purple magnetized polish today--pictures on the blog linked below.

Foil method?

That's my cat, lol.
Fingers are Wet N' Wild - Kaleidoscope.
Toes are Sally Hansen Hard as Nails - Red Carpet.

It is Time magazine, but it's the normal side. My cat was sitting on my lap, and the magazine in on the floor.

You get cotton balls really wet with polish remover, stick them on your nails, then wrap aluminum foil over the cotton balls and wait for ten minutes--most glitters will come off as you remove the foil and cotton.

Oh, but painter's tape works very well, as does medical tape. :)

I haven't tried that, but if you'd experiment and report back to the class, I'll give you extra credit.

The picture doesn't give the best impression, as it's a highly iridescent shade with hints of blue and green as well as the purple base.
