Teresa Myers (teresamyers) Almost done with The Knife of Never Letting Go (Chaos Walking, #1) by Patrick Ness . It took a little while to get into because it's written in an uneducated country accent. However, now I'm absolutely loving it and I don't have the second one yet. Time for a trip to the bookstores I guess.

I'm also about 30 pages into Blood Song (Blood Singer, #1) by Cat Adams because I'm one of those people who reads multiple books at once sometimes. It seems like a YA Anita Blake so far. But I might be wrong about that. I'll let you know how it turns out.

message 502: by Julie (new)

Julie I just finished Graveminder by Melissa Marr , it's not YA or Post Apocalyptic/Dystopian but I'd recommend it, it's different.

message 503: by Bethany (new)

Bethany Picked up Bumped (Bumped, #1) by Megan McCafferty from the library today. Honestly, I'm not too excited about it, but I'm gonna give it a shot.

message 504: by Bethany (new)

Bethany Finished Everfound (Skinjacker, #3) by Neal Shusterman . It was probably my least favorite of the series. I kinda had to push through it towards the end, but I was really happy with the ending. It wrapped everything up well.

message 505: by Bethany (new)

Bethany Starting On the Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta !!! I'm excited :)

message 506: by Jen (new)

Jen (baynej) | 151 comments I just finished Wither (The Chemical Garden, #1) by Lauren DeStefano and it was amazing!

message 507: by Katherine (new)

Katherine Draper | 58 comments Wither was truly one of the best I have read in a long time!!!

I am reading Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion -- it's very clever! It makes me laugh out loud at times. :)

message 508: by Bethany (new)

Bethany I wanna read warm bodies so bad!
I just finished On the Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta and Entwined by Heather Dixon
Jellicoe was amazing!!! Entwined took me a while to get into, but it got really good.

message 509: by Katherine (new)

Katherine Draper | 58 comments Warm Bodies was fun. :)

Reading outside the genre now for another book club.... The glass castle. Kind of dreading it.

message 510: by Julie (new)

Julie I just started Blood Red Road (Dustlands, #1) by Moira Young and getting ready to start City of Ashes (The Mortal Instruments, #2) by Cassandra Clare and give The Mortal Instruments another shot.

message 511: by Bethany (new)

Bethany Julie wrote: "I just started Blood Red Road (Dustlands, #1) by Moira Young and getting ready to start City of Ashes (The Mortal Instruments, #2) by Cassandra Clare and give The Mortal Instruments another shot."

City of Ashes isn't the best of the series, but some major stuff happens and it is totally worth it to push through so you can get to City of Glass...which is AMAZING!!!

message 512: by Bethany (new)

Bethany Having trouble with Bumped (Bumped, #1) by Megan McCafferty . Not holding my interest. I'm gonna stick to my bad habits and start another book even though that will make my currently reading list at four...big deal!

message 513: by Bethany (last edited Jun 24, 2011 10:52AM) (new)

Bethany Finally finished Bumped (blech!) Still working on Lockdown (Escape From Furnace, #1) by Alexander Gordon Smith . Picked up two books from the library yesterday. I'm really excited for both...
Marcelo In The Real World by Francisco X. Stork & Forgotten by Cat Patrick

message 514: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (amonika) I just finished Eden by Keary Taylor . It was a fantastic book. I enjoyed it so much that I'm getting ready to start another book by the same author Branded (Fall of Angels #1) by Keary Taylor .

message 515: by Bethany (new)

Bethany Amanda wrote: "I just finished Eden by Keary Taylor. It was a fantastic book. I enjoyed it so much that I'm getting ready to start another book by the same author Branded (Fall of Angels #1) by Keary Taylor."

Aaah! Eden looks amazing!!! The cover is great and the synopsis grabbed me from the start...I can't wait to read it!

message 516: by [deleted user] (new)

Eden sounds so freaking good! I want to read that one ASAP!

message 517: by [deleted user] (new)

Read City of Ashes! How can you have finished City of Bones and not want to immediately move on to the second one?! Read it ASAP!

message 518: by Bethany (new)

Bethany I know... I don't understand that either. I was dying to get to book two after I read CofB. And City of Ashes is sooo good!

message 519: by Julie (new)

Julie I'm about finished with Clockwork Angel (Infernal Devices #1) by Cassandra Clare and as of now I'm liking it more than The Mortal Instruments.

message 520: by Bethany (new)

Bethany Just finished Marcelo In The Real World by Francisco X. Stork . Very, very good book.

Starting- Forgotten by Cat Patrick

message 521: by Julie (new)

Julie Just finished Clockwork Angel and I really don't want to have to wait til December for Clockwork Prince (Infernal Devices #2) by Cassandra Clare !

message 522: by Bethany (new)

Bethany I'm glad I have a little time because I reeaaaly need to re-read CA. I need it fresh in my mind before I read CP.

message 523: by Brandy (new)

Brandy Hunt About to start Splintered: Sierra's Legacy. I kind of know Leslie from some online interactions, so I'm really excited. She is definitely a wonderful book reviewer. I can't wait.

message 524: by Teresa (new)

Teresa Myers (teresamyers) So, I'm about halfway through The Ask and the Answer (Chaos Walking, #2) by Patrick Ness which is book 2 in the Chaos walking series and can I just say I'm loving it. I really hope we read this series because I absolutely need to discuss it. It's so much more than your basic dystopian. I highly recommend them but warn you that the dialogue, uneducated hick type, takes some getting used to.

message 525: by Bethany (new)

Bethany I just finished Forgotten by Cat Patrick

A-MAZ-ING!!! This was such a good book. Everybody read it!

message 526: by Graciela (new)

Graciela Marez (marez3397) I just finished The Scorch Trials (Maze Runner, #2) by James Dashner , #2 of The Maze Runner Trilogy, and highly recommend you read the series... I am eagerly awaiting the publication of #3, The Death Cure (Maze Runner, #3) by James Dashner

Will do! My friend just read it and she was raving about it :)

message 530: by Bethany (new)

Bethany Well Julie, I finished Two-Way Street by Lauren Barnholdt . It's no literary marvel. It's a pretty quick and easy read. But, I enjoyed every minute of it. It very funny, but there's a lot of emotion as well. I thought it was well written and an interesting plot. I would definitely recommend it ;)

message 531: by Bethany (new)

Bethany Starting Passion (Fallen, #3) by Lauren Kate ....

I really hope it doesn't suck! This is one of my least favorite series, but like a true addict, I just have to know what happens :/

message 532: by lézengő reader (new)

lézengő reader (kergezerge) Just finished The Speed of Dark by Elizabeth Moon
and started World War Z An Oral History of the Zombie War by Max Brooks . I'm not one for zombies, but this one promises to be a great book.

message 533: by Julie (new)

Julie Thanks Bethany!

I'm still slowly working on Blood Red Road (Dustlands, #1) by Moira Young and I started The Betrayal of Natalie Hargrove by Lauren Kate yesterday, which I hope to finish today

message 534: by Sara (new)

Sara (madapple) I actually just finished 'Enders Game' yesterday, and all I can say is "WOW". Amazing book. Amazing concept. However, I actually just began reading Pride and Prejudice. Not a dystopian fiction, but I've always wanted to give it a go. As for what dystopian fiction I'm planning to read next, I have no idea. I was thinking 'Year of The Flood', though.

I'm so freaking excited for The Death Cure!!!!

Zerge, you'll have to let us know how World War Z is. I don't know if that one would be to my liking, but it has zombies in it so I'm torn haha :)

Bethany, I have hardcover Fallen and Torment sitting pretty on my shelf and I am also a confirmed addict. Yet I refuse to buy Passion (despite the awesome cover) because the series is bothering me more and more. Ugh...let me know how it is.

Sara, I agree with Bethany! Read Divergent! It's amazing!

message 541: by Chris (last edited Jul 04, 2011 11:56AM) (new)

Chris (necaros) | 18 comments The Year of the Flood by Margaret Atwood The Year of the Flood by Margaret Atwood, just found out that this is a sequel to Oryx and Crake so I dove right in. So far, really good, she does such a great job at setting up a world that is on the verge. It's got an underlying religious theme that has actually got me thinking a little bit. I do kinda wish something would hurry up and happen though.
I've been learning a little bit about grammar recently, and this is expertly written.

Amanda (amonika) Just finished Lure (Siren's Call, #1) by Stephanie Jenkins . It was pretty good.

I'm in the middle of Betrayal (The Descendants #1) by Mayandree Michel . This book had great reviews, but I'm struggling to read through it. I like the concept, I'm just not sure why it isn't holding my interest. It does have a beautiful cover though.

message 546: by Katherine (new)

Katherine Draper | 58 comments Gina, I am with you on Neal. I'm a new convert. :) He's great.

I'm currently reading Hex Hall (Hex Hall, #1) by Rachel Hawkins . :D

Currently read The Passage (The Passage, #1) by Justin Cronin which is a good read so far. Its very long though and not YA, so its been taking me a while. After that I think I will take on The Maze Runner (Maze Runner, #1) by James Dashner and The Scorch Trials (Maze Runner, #2) by James Dashner .

Andrew | 22 comments Won a copy of Glow (Sky Chasers, #1) by Amy Kathleen Ryan as part of a giveaway so I will also be reading that soon too. It sounds very interesting and some of the current reviews compare it to Across the Universe.
