I read The First Man in Rome nearly 20 years ago, and it's one of the few books I would want to read again.

Donna I am reading 2 very different books. Beat the Reaper is an edgy, fast past medical/mob thriller and The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate is a lovely, gentle story of a girl and her grandfather and their love of nature.

Enjoying both very much.

Ginny Just finished I, Robot and Jude the Obscure(ick-depressing, but did like I, Robot). Finishing up Howard's End. Started The Blind Assassin and the last of the Thursday Next series. Still in the first few chapters of Moby Dick and my 13 yr. old asked if we could do our own little book club,her and me, and wanted to start reading Uncle Tom's Cabin.

Well, I ended up thinking it was great. I wasn't really into it until the last 2/3, as I thought the first 1/3 dragged.
