Introduce Yourself - Part Deux!

Welcome to the new members...we always have lots of fun here!

We have a four step program for that. It goes a little something like this....
1) Buy, beg or borrow Paranormal books
2) Read Paranormal books
3) Discuss Paranormal books here
4) Repeat
:) LOL

Dollhouse hasn't played here yet.
Yay!!! New members!!!!

I somehow missed you and just realized it. I like a lot of the same authors you do. Glad to have you in the group. I wonder when George R.R. Martin's next book will come out. Have you read all the books in the Game of Thrones series?

Hi! Yep, I've read all of the Game of Thrones books along with the Dunk and Egg short stories. Hopefully, the next book comes out soon - the last one ended with the fates of some of my favorite characters up in the air - I need to know if they survived.
Kristin,
Wait until you get to the 3rd book - that will blow your mind - try to avoid any spoilers for it because a lot happens in that book.

My favorite authors are Ilona Andrews, Patricia Briggs, Kim Harrison, Seanan McGuire to name a few. I'm always on the look-out for new UF and PNR.
I'd like to discuss books with other readers.
BTW: Spoiler slut here, I'm always looking for them and I don't like a lot of cliff-hangers and TSTL heroines.

I love all romance genres and read a lot of PNR. Some of my favourite PNR authors are Larissa Ione, Lara Adrian, Kresley Cole, J R Ward & Christine Feehan but am always on the lookout for new authors to read & follow.

Hi Dee! Glad you were able to stop in. Check out our What Are You Reading section. It's a great way to find new authors. You also may want to look at our Meet the Mods sections we did in Jan. We all focused on authors & series we liked a lot. It will give you a lot of new ideas.

Thanks Alisa, will do (Y)

Lately, I seem to be reading mostly books for my blog author interviews and podcast author interviews. I do still manage to get the extra book in every week or so and look forward to reading the ones recommended by the group, although I'll most likely be lagging behind. I read Stewart's 3rd book in her series and was pleasantly surprised that this group was reading her first. Gotta love some JJD! Can't wait to see what else we explore.
When I'm not reading, writing, or interviewing, I teach college, play MMOs and play with my dogs.

Thanks Jacy, I love Joss Whedon as well, I'll have to look out for it on DVD.

Unlike me, you're an author, good luck with the new book. Be sure to announce it in the self promotion folder when it is close to being released :D

My name is Bob Jordan (pen name, Clanci). I am an author and have a new novel coming out on Valentine's Day entitled, Unfinished Business. It fits in the category of contemporary romance, time-travel and paranormal. The promotional video is available at: http://animoto.com/play/xC8mx7rdPNYuK...
Here's an overview of Unfinished Business: An ancient door provides the portal to a man's past, offering him two opportunities: Return to 1984 to halt the bizarre accident that took his fiancee's life and retrieve a mysterious orb. Without intervention, the orb and its powers will be seized by evildoers.
For Trevor, the risks are high, but the rewards are immeasurable.
Twenty-nine years later Trevor still grieves for his fiancee killed by a hit-and-run driver the day before their wedding. That void can be filled. The choice is his.
An old German who informs Trevor that Janet's death was planned, also provides clues relating to the orb that dangled from her neck on the day she died. Those powers emanating from the orb, perpetuate time travel. Trevor's mission is to return to 1984 to prevent the tragedy that took his fiancee's life, and to keep the orb from the clutches of evildoers.
The fate of the world lies in Trevor's hands. If he refuses the old German's proposal, the necklace will be seized by madmen whose goal is world domination and, ultimately, the control of the universe.
Whooshed through the ancient door and back to the past, Trevor implements a plan—one thwarted when the same hit-and-run driver who killed his fiancee, slams into him. Near death and in a coma, Trevor's fate hangs in the balances. A second attempt on his life is barely averted when a stranger slips into the hospital room and attempts to inject something into his IV.
Trevor snaps out of the coma with, his memory of the past scattered. in bits and pieces. Even if he manages to outwit the madmen who trail him, how can Trevor fit the scattered piece together to rescue his fiancee and save the world...if he cannot recall his mission?

I adore Ilona Andrews, Nalini Singh, Patricia Briggs, Seanan McGuire, to name a few, and have picked up a few good recommendations through good reads!

Ses, there are always recs to be had here, just look around and check the currently reading thread as well ;)

Hello Ses
You're in luck. I just released a brand new paranormal/romance novel today. It's titled, Unfinished Business and it's available here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BDCESAC

Welcome to our little group. I am sure you will find a ton of stuff to read here.
PNR can be iffy for my but I have found some really good ones.
Happy reading :-)

I just stumbled on goodreads and I discovered this group.
Like everyone here, I'm an avid reader, and as my presence here shows, I'm more prone to go for Ilona Andrews' books than Emile Zola's.
Only trouble is that for now, I've read everything published by the authors I like and need to find new gems. So here I am...
I hope to discover many new authors by browsing the group, and mayhap make other discover a few ones...
:)

Check out the Meet the Mods posts, and you'll find some new ones for sure ;)

I'll be sure to check out this section right away :) I sooo need a good dose of reading.

I'm a big fan of Neil Gaiman (I consider some of his stuff to be Urban Fantasy) and Jim Butcher. I've read most of Charlaine Harris's Sookie books and enjoyed them. I'm looking for more interesting reads in this genre.

I am sure you will find others but off that top that is what came to mind.

YAY I am springing new authors on you already lol

Oh, Dear. I've been remiss in my welcoming people.

Welcome Dee and thanks for finally coming out of the woodwork. :)

Welcome Maer. Sounds like you keep yourself very busy.
