Dina (missdina) | 718 comments I was inspired by the BYOC ad talk on the other thread (I don't remember which one.)

message 28: by Leah (new)

Leah (leahkarge) Ah yes, D.G. and her condom ad, LOL

message 29: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments OMG!!!!!!!!!! LOL In the title? LOLOL

message 30: by Dina (new)

Dina (missdina) | 718 comments Not in the title, UM. That would be too challenging, LOL.

Dina (missdina) | 718 comments :D

message 33: by D.G. (new)

D.G. LOL, Dina! Great challenge!

They'll have to be mostly contemporaries (there is some talk of condoms in some historicals but they are few and far between!)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Dina wrote: "Not in the title, UM. That would be too challenging, LOL."

Yeah, I don't know how many fictional books you'd find with that word in the title.

Yeah, historicals are out. Most PNR are probably out too, because those "creatures" (and I say that with love, LOL) don't have to worry about that.

Anne Stuart's Ruthless and Loretta Chase's Your Scandalous Ways would qualify.

Your Scandalous Ways by Loretta Chase Ruthless (The House of Rohan, #1) by Anne Stuart

message 37: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments And Lisa Kleypas' Again The Magic by Lisa Kleypas would, too.

message 38: by Alycia (new)

Alycia | 1478 comments Her Ladyship's Companion by Evangeline Collins would work. The hero used french letters.

message 39: by Joeera (last edited Jan 12, 2011 01:53PM) (new)

Joeera | 254 comments I'am going to read 5 books that i own with "Love" in the title (completed 5 0ut 5) DONE

All About Love (Cynster, #6) by Stephanie Laurens A Touch Of Love by Phoebe Conn Love's Sweet Captive by Blaine Anderson Forever, My Love by Linda Ladd To Love a Stranger (Delaney Trilogy, #1) by Connie Mason

message 40: by Dina (new)

Dina (missdina) | 718 comments Mshj - I love Loretta Chase's writing and Your Scandalous Ways sounds good. :) I love Anne Stuart's writing too, but I decided not to read Ruthless based on some reviews I've read. I "know" (as much as anyone could know such thing) that I'd hate the hero.

UM - I read Again The Magic last month and I don't remember the word "condom" being used in that book. *scratches head*

Alycia - Thanks for the rec. Do they use the word "condom" specifically? I'm trying to make my challenge a little more challenging by not allowing synonyms. :)

message 41: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments "French Letter" is the word... sorry.

Not in that particular book. I think they always use french letter. It's used several times

message 43: by Dina (new)

Dina (missdina) | 718 comments NP, UM. :)

message 44: by Dina (new)

Dina (missdina) | 718 comments Alycia - Thanks! I don't think HR books and the word "condom" go together. ;)

message 45: by Alycia (new)

Alycia | 1478 comments Dina wrote: "Alycia - Thanks! I don't think HR books and the word "condom" go together. ;)"

No they don't. Not good HRs

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 630 comments You know I am sure that I have read a HR with condoms or "french letters" or some sort of birthcontrol in them, I am sure it was Again The Magic by Lisa Kleypas & If You Desire (MacCarrick Brothers, #2) by Kresley Cole or If You Deceive (MacCarrick Brothers, #3) by Kresley Cole

message 47: by D.G. (new)

D.G. Yup, there are definitely historicals where the hero uses condoms (or french letters) but I cannot think of any at the moment!

Two paranormals I read recently Skin Game & Skin Tight, the heroes definitely use condoms. :)

message 48: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments The thing is, in Dina's challenge they have to be called "condoms." They can't be "french letters."

message 49: by D.G. (new)

D.G. Oh I thought she was keeping to the spirit rather than the letter of the law. :)

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 630 comments I was : ) I was just trying to think of some books I had seen with condoms/birth control mentioned, it always stands out when it mentions it in HR : )
