LOL, Tugce.

I liked Graceling OK but found it blah on some instances. I know a lot of other people loved it but I just couldn't feel it.

The Winter Rose & The Help are both great books. They are really sad in their way so if you don't like sad books, stay clear from those. :)

I don't know what my next chunkster will be...here is the list of the most likely candidates (not in order)

Time and Chance
The Fiery Cross
City of Bones
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
Revelation
Cuentos Mas Que Completos
Crime and Punishment
La sombra del viento
Nana
Lover Enshrined
The Historian
Seduced

Jas I like this! Count me in for
Mor-book-ly Obese - Eight books with 450+ pages

1. The Shelters of Stone 768 pages 1/11
2. The Traitor's Wife 499 pages 2/13

Currently in my TBR list: The Land of Painted Caves 753 pages

I'm also considering trying to read War and Peace this year - at 1392 pages that may be a stretch though. Ill decide based on how my 100 books challenge goes. Got to catch up on that one first.

Jas [edit] Hmm.. I thought I was quoting one thing but ended up messing up. This is in response to Yz's comment that audiobooks also count.

Oh oh.. audiobooks too? Does something I started listening to last year but didn't finish count then? I am very very slowly slogging my way through Gone With The Wind, listening to it only when I walk for exercise. I may not even finish this year though, that's how slowly I'm going.

A bit of both? Also, I got a bike in the fall, so now I ride it a good bit instead of walking. The audiobook is something like 49 hours. It's insane. The accents and voices that the reader does are amazing though. I may just quit and instead actually read the book later in the year instead. I wonder if it is available on kindle yet. I'm finding it a lot easier to read those long books on the kindle - no tired hand from holding the book and making it stay open on the right page. And it doesn't hurt as much when I fall asleep at 3 am while reading and the kindle falls on my face. Those hardcovers.. OW!

Unfortunately, it has to be books started within the year.

I second Jane's comment. Maybe you need to walk more... LOL!

I also have W&P in my TBR but I don't think I'll get to it this year. I'm planning to read at least one Outlander book and that's the only book over 1000 pgs. I'll read this year. :)
