Hmmmm -- I'm not sure that it fits for Task 10.4.
Task 10.4 requirements: "...read a non-fiction book about the private life of a monarch, elected official, or candidate."
I don't think that Colin Powell was any of the above. But tell me your thinking on this. Perhaps I'm missing something.

I really enjoyed it. Despite the books length, it was a fairly easy read and quite fluid.

I thought it was funny that he was still elected in New Hampshire even after withdrawing! Also both parties wanted him as a candidate in 1996! probably the only thing they have agreed on in years.

Hi Rebekah: Thanks for providing a citation about Powell's career. However, it didn't prove that he was actually elected to anything. This citation says that he won a PRIMARY election in New Hampshire via write in votes. He did not campaign for the election, or move into the General Election. He was not elected to any office via the Primary win.
Sorry, this book is still disqualified for Task 10.4. It was a valiant effort though. : -)
