So, I went home to surprise my bf for her college graduation party and it was totally fun..I'm still here. Anyway her boss got her a $100 gift card to B&N. Perfect gift for me, but not so much for her. She hardly ever reads. The only time she reads is when someone hands her a book and says read this. So she had to DRAG me to B&N to help her spend it. Which was so fun! And she got me these three books:

I guess I figure as long as the bills are paid and my kiddies are fed, then I can buy what I want.

Thats sorta how I feel too until I look at the amount of books I'm NOT getting read this year because of being so buy and my towering 400+ pile of books I already own that need to be read. I'm at the point where if I read at the rate I'm currently reading which I think is sort of healthy, it would take me 4 years to read down that pile.

And that's only if I stop buying books - which as we all know - is NOT going to happen.

Its a sick cycle.

My name is Lisa, and I'm a book buying addict. After going to my favorite Chinese Food restaurant for lunch (where I treated myself to a delicious meal of honey-walnut-prawns, cashew chicken, orange-peel beef, and house fried rice, yummy), I had to drive over to Barnes and Nobel, b/c ...geezz, lunch out wasn't treat enough!???

JUSTIFICATIONS:

I had to get , b/c I need to see if I'm a Jet or a Shark in the rumble between Auntee and Shawna (their names are links to their GoodReads reviews/teams, respectively).

b/c I am totally caught up in my "buddy read" of .

b/c I need to read this first book in the series b/f I can listen to the rest that are available on audio from my library.

Hello my name is Melody and I have a serious book buying addiction. You guys don't want to know how many times I stopped by the Borders near my house for it's closing sale. Seriously I need help. I'm usually good when it comes to buying online I'm very selective but a borders closing sale w/ all romance novels 60% off??! HELLO!!!!

The sad part about it is I tried to be *very* discrete about it but uh I failed miserably considering my basket was overflowing w/ romance covers. Ha. I tried so hard to act nonchalant about it when I got to the register. pfft. This is why I chose to buy my books online so I don't have to bare that awkward moment of the cashier person seeing what books I bought. Haha. I HATE it.

I have a pretty good imagination- my main problem is that they never look how I would imagine so it spoils things plus it's maybe a cultural thing but I think that romance covers/pictures tend to be lower key in the UK and I prefer that.
